I fought the idea of bankruptcy for years, but I found myself working full-time (despite being…read moreretired with a pension) mainly to keep up with the minimum payments on all the credit cards. We were current on all of them, but couldn't make any headway on paying them off. So we decided to talk to a bankruptcy attorney, and after some research on the internet chose Peter Milwid. The free initial consultation was both friendly and thorough. Peter looked at our debts and resources, explained in detail what we could expect and what our finances after bankruptcy would look like. We didn't have to go home to think it over, we retained him that day. The best way I can describe our experience is to compare it to the relationship we used to have with a family doctor years ago. We never spoke to or met with anyone else during the entire process. If we had questions, a call to Peter's mobile phone resulted in a same-day callback. He knows the bankruptcy law and the workings of the court inside and out and shepherded us through the entire process without a hitch. I recommend Mile High Bankruptcy most highly to anyone looking for a solution to debt problems.

He has this very abrupt manner that I do not care for. You had the feeling this man allows a minute with each call and that is it. I find him rude, arrogant, impatient and he does not care to understand his potential client and what they may be going through. I would not give one star but had to for the review to process.

I have had the unfortunate pleasure of needing Robert I. Cohen expertise on two separate occasions…read more Bankruptcy is not to be taken lightly and is a very serious decision. It is also very complex and requires an expert attorney to make sure it is done correctly. Mr. Cohen and his staff are without question THE BEST. First and foremost Mr. Cohen is the greatest. This guy has got the best sense of humor on the planet, even if he doesn't realize it. Every single person on his staff is a consummate professional. Mr. Cohen is able to take a scary and complicated issue like bankruptcy and break it down into simple 1,2, and 3 detail. A person has no idea how much trouble one was really in until Mr. Cohen spells it out for them. Not to worry because the Cohen firm is there for their clients from start to finish. I can tell you first hand it is amazing to watch them work with you on your behalf. Let me just say Mr. Cohen snatched me from the jaws of economic destruction twice and of that fact, I am not proud. However, I am certainly glad I had the good sense to retain Mr. Cohen both times. The man knows what he is doing. This is a procedure that requires an expert much like heart surgery. Don't trust your financial future to some hack. RETAIN ROBERT I. COHEN! I have 0, zero, none, nill, no, zilch, regret in hiring this professional for this unfortunate task. The man gets the job done and done correctly.

Devon Barclay and his team are the best!…read more I was supposed to file bankruptcy two years ago but I really dreaded the process, so it lagged on until I was served papers for a car that had been repossessed. I tried to work with someone in my city prior two years but with Devon Barclay, I didn't care if I had to drive down town. I didn't like the previous attorney I was trying to work with initially, so I tried to to look for one that I thought I'd like and then I actually came across Devon Barclay on Thumbtack. I read about him on there and went to his website. Out of all people, he was the most personable and likeable. I felt like I could relate and connect with with him versus the other stone cold robot attorneys. I reached out to him and as a younger attorney, I liked his method/approach. He's very chill and easy going, I liked the office they're located at. Unconventional, modern and keeping up with the times. The entire process was very smooth unlike the other attorney, he wanted me to pay more and jump through hoops. Devon made it very easy and gave me a reasonable price. I felt like he was someone who actually wanted to help me versus the other. Work with him and his team, you won't regret it. Now I can have a breath of air without all the stress!
