If you are looking for a place that has very knowledgeable cigar aficionados this is your place. I travel a ton for work and try to visit a cigar shop in each of the cities I go to but this one is more than a shop. They truly get to know their customer base. Take time to listen to what you like to smoke and what your occasion is or even ask what you might be pairing it with to help you enjoy that experience. Ben, Drew and Mike are all equally helpful in their own way, and each seem to have a great following of people that are always a joy to talk with. Whether you are enjoying the great lounge downstairs with direct tv, sipping your favorite drink and smoking a new smoke/favorite smoke it alone is worth the stop. Always a good group of guys down there from all backgrounds enjoying the same treat. Or if there is a small gathering upstairs, never a dull moment of conversation, from what's going on in sports to music and back to cigars. You never know who you will meet or what will be pondered on. As stated above this is more than a cigar shop they treat you as family, maybe a cheers of cigars. I know in my travels It is hands down my go to for cigars and great conversation. Anyone who comes through KC that has an affinity for cigars this is a must stop, don't let the shop fool you they will take amazing care of you and you never know the amazing patrons you can meet. I live between The Plaza and Westport (and the cigar shops therein) yet I drive to Blue Spring for ALL my tobacco needs a couple times a week. Not only is their selection of cigars, pipe tobacco, and relevant paraphernalia fantastic, but the staff is friendly, honest, incredibly knowledgeable, and just as passionate about the things they're selling as you are. Walked in and had never been here. Ben the manager, engaged me in conversation as I began looking around. I told him Id had others suggest this place as they had better pricing than most B&M shops. I admitted I usually only went to B&Ms for singles to try before purchasing online as prices are usually so much higher in a B&M. He told me that attitude was a "fuck you to established businesses" and I said (uncomfortably obviously) "yes and no" to which he quipped "more like yes and yes". At this point I stopped browsing and turned to him. I said that I hadnt gotten into pipes yet, and that is something I wouldnt be purchasing online....i mean giving this guy EVERY opportunity to back down and diffuse the situation that was clearly beyond a customer vs merchant situation. His response? "No you will buy online." I then said that it was clear he wasnt interested in my business and he responded accordingly. To the owner: I never had the opportunity to see if your establishment wasnt raking the consumer over the coals as many cigar shops do. I priced one item that I was interested in before your manager decided to make his business opinions more inportant than taking an opportunity to earn a customer; before giving me a reason to drive the 25 minutes from home to your place. As you can tell by my avatar I'm a cigar guy - and if you are too (or a cigar gal), this is THE cigar place in the KC metro area! Extremely well stocked with stogies and accessories, and they've got very reasonable prices to boot. If the selection weren't enough, the place itself is the cherry on top. Super knowledgable and friendly staff, Drew and Ben are the best of both worlds... always happy to offer recommendations or just talk cigars, but will also stay out of your hair while you're perusing their selection. Since they listen to what YOU like, their suggestions have always been spot on! The store also has a very well appointed smoking lounge downstairs. Very upscale (the lounge chairs are super comfy), but with a laid back "regular guy" vibe. Great place to watch a sports game. This place has it all folks! read more

I have been the shop for many years and have always found what I wanted, and sometimes what I didn't know what I wanted until later. The smoking lounge is a nice place to relax and enjoy a smoke away from the world. Just what cigar smoking should be. There are a lot of other places with higher priced cigars. Widest and best priced selection of cigars I know of in the KC area. Drew and Ben are very knowledgable and helpful. They have a nice lounge downstairs with a sweet TV and card table as well as dart board or chess table if that's your fancy. I dare you to find a better cigar shop around. read more
