owners son is very rude. Always appears like he doesn't want to be there. And has an attitude constantly. The more you come in the more he doesn't like you because it's more work for him to press a few buttons to help you or get up from his chair to help you grab an item. Recently I had came in close to their closing time and he started yelling at me saying he has to close the store how I'm coming too late. Then he got mad that I was using their trash can to throw away the packaging of the items I had just bought with them and I had to throw it away somewhere else so he doesn't have to take out the trash. Then to finish off his temper tantrum he threw the box in his pile of trash all aggressive to show how angry he was as I was walking out. Childish and unprofessional shit. I've been coming here for years have spent thousands of dollars with them and that's how they treat one of their best customers. Horrible experience will never come back after that. Avoid at all costs. The treatment of customers absolutely appalled me. I have been shopping here for the last year due to the convenient location, and a vape I purchased was defective (oil was burst all over when I opened the package & it didn't work). Honestly, it happens-- in transit, accidentally, etc. I wasn't upset at all, until I went to exchange it for a working one. I put it back in the original packaging, and brought it back to the store. I was met with excuse after excuse as to why he wouldn't exchange it (I wasn't even asking for a refund here). "Well, you have to return it right away." "I purchased it yesterday." "Well, I've been sold out of this flavor for like 10 days, are you sure you bought it from me?" "Here's the receipt." "Well I don't know you, so there's nothing I can do for you." "I've been in here with you a dozen times." He shoved it back to me across the counter, and promptly shifted his gaze to the customer behind me after refusing to exchange it. After years in hospitality management, this shocked me. How on Earth do you expect to stay in business when you can't extend simple courtesy to your customers? A $25 mistake cost you a customer who would have continued to spend about $100 a month. I'll never step foot in here again. read more

I come here because it's walking distance from my house. I have only had good experiences here, the staff are usually young guys that are friendly enough. Their vape prices are the cheapest I have been able to find in SCV. I had been paying $35 for a flum disposable but they sell the same one for $28. They also have a wide variety of pipes and bongs and related supplies which range in price but are all of decent quality. I bought a lighter and they made sure it was filled up with butane that was nice and unexpected. i wish they opened a little earlier but only because i just broke my bong and gotta wait an hour until they open to get a new one haha. read more

So I just did a quick yelp search "smoke shops - open now" as J was on the fwy on the way back down to LA -- saw Cig Shop, popped off the fwy and head straight there. From the moment I walked in, the young man behind the counter by the name of Alvin just TOOK ME TO SCHOOL by how much he informed me on each and every product that I was looking at. Not only was he knowledgeable, but he was also confident in his presentation and his sales skills were fantastic -- he never became overbearing, or pressuring. Just simply listened to my needs, asked me what I had tried before, then chose the best set up for me. He even stayed Open a little bit late, just so I could run over to the grocery store and get some cash. There are two bottom lines here; First, I came in here telling Alvin that I didn't want to spend more than $30. When I left, I had spent $114, and I am extremely happy about every dollar that I spent. I'm 5x happier than I'd I had just spent $30 like I wanted to. So -- to whoever owns this business, Alvin is a HUGE asset -- I hope you value him. I mean just look at my scenario: $114 - $30 = an extra $84 he brought into your business tonight strictly because of his sales abilities and professionalism. Second: I WILL BE BACK!!! This shop sold me fake Coco Nara hookah coals. Coco Nara is the only brand of coals I use, so I can tell the difference. The coals I got were - Lopsided and made from cheap ingredients (not pressed coconut shells) - Smell toxic when you heat them up (Coco Nara doesn't smell) - Burn really FAST (Coco Nara burns slowly) Look at the picture--if you smoke Coco Nara you can tell the difference right away. Extreme mark up on all prices here. I bought a disposable vape that was probably a fake now because it died in less than 24 hours from when I bought it with minimal use out of it. Try going to any shop, smoking "tobacco" out of a glass pipe and trying to return it because you cracked the piece by your own stupidity. Good customer or not, you take that loss. I came in here on 5/10/14 to buy a Pax Vaporizer. My total time in store was only about five minutes and it was pleasant, but what happened when I got home was far from enjoyable. I got home, opened my new Pax and I was eager to try it out. I filled the chamber of the Pax and turned it on. I started to use it as directed and it would not work at all. I was not getting any vapor and I could not understand why. I was wondering if there was possibly something I was doing wrong, so I went online to Ploom.com which is the original manufacturers website for the Pax Vape to see if they had a solution. They have couple videos on their website showing how to use the Pax and another instructional video on how to tell if your Pax Vape was a fake. After watching the video on how to properly use the Pax, I realized that I wasn't doing anything wrong and it should be working. So out of curiosity, I watched their video on how to identify a fake, and low and behold, the Pax that I bought from this shop was a FAKE and that is why it would not work properly. So, because it was a fake, I came back in the next day to ask for a refund and I was met with hostility and defensiveness by the employee I spoke with about it being fake because he thought it was real, but after speaking with him for awhile, he calmed down and told me to come back when the owner came in tomorrow. The next day I came in and asked the person behind the counter if he was the owner. He mumbled and said that the owner was not there and that he comes in and out but throughout out the day. I was about to leave when he asked what I needed so I told him my issue and suddenly he magically became the owner of the store. After talking with him and informing him about the situation and telling him how to identify a fake Pax Vape, he was very kind and apologetic and said that a refund would not be an issue. He also took his other Pax Vapes off the shelves and said he is going to call his distributor and find out why he was sold fakes. He also promised to stock authentic Pax Vapes so I can come back in and get a real one. So when all was said and done, the situation was resolved, but if you are going to buy anything here, I would be skeptical of it's authenticity and I would highly advise to do your research on how to identify fakes before you purchase anything. Other than this one instance, this little smoke shop is pretty cool. Don't let my bad experience stray you away, just proceed with caution and try them out for yourself! read more

I'm not sure this is the right shop but it's the only one listed on Lyons ave...sooo. I've been a customer at this shop for years and have purchased 4 different tobacco pipes and the tobacco too... When I purchased a pipe for my girlfriend and it cracked in less than two weeks I returned it to the store. The gentleman behind the counter told me no refunds whilst pointing at a sign taped to the counter. After I reminded him I was a good customer and only wanted a new pipe in return, he simply kept mumbling "sorry...no." I also informed him I would no longer buy anything from his store if he didn't make this right and give him my first bad review on yelp...to which he responded (mumbled) "ok."
