Unfortunately, it happened again. On the morning I was supposed to pick up my vehicle for a road trip, I received a call saying the vehicle's window was broken and there was no replacement available. While they tried contacting other locations, nothing was found. I was left one day before my vacation with no vehicle because there are no backup options. The manager's response made it worse no apology, just "I called you this morning," and essentially telling me to figure it out myself, with no guarantee they could help. I strongly recommend having a backup reservation at another location if you book here.

He was actively helping passengers load, he's not required to but he was helpful for those needing it. He got us all loaded quickly then proceeded to ask everyone "What airline are you going?" He made notes of which terminals to drop us off at, which is exceptional service because we were going Southwest and had no idea what terminal we were at. Once he dropped us off he even said check in was upstairs so the little gestures were greatly appreciated. The airport is already so stressful so he did not add to it at all. I wanna say his name was Juan? Also safe driver points. He was easy on the braking and acceleration because I am queen of car sickness and the ride was smooth. I got into an accident two weeks and they deemed my car a total loss. I knew I needed a car and immediately called Value Rental Car because I had such a great experience the first time. I'm 22, a recent college grad, and only have a Debit Card. When I first rented with them, I was still 21 and a college student. Other rental car places WILL NOT let you rent with them if you are under 25 and do not have a credit card. However, I was easily accepted to rent with Value Rental Car both times with NO issues. I initially rented my car for 5 days, but extended it for 3 additional days due to my hectic car shopping schedule. Once I realized I needed to extend it, I contacted them and did so with ease. Since my schedule can get crazy, it was impactful to know that I was NEVER going to receive a bad attitude just because I needed to extend my car dates. I live in CA, but for those visiting who may end up with a cancelled or delayed flight, this can be EXTREMELY important! No attitude, no snarky remarks, no judgmental faces. I waited about 10 minutes. Once at the location, the line moved fairly quickly to get to the counter. I must have arrived at an off-peak time, the line was short. The cars are located in a large warehouse, so they are out of the sun and are not baking hot. They have you fill out a damage form to show any existing issues with the vehicle and then hand it to the attendant on the way out of the lot. I made sure to be very detailed in my walk through, just to be safe. Returning to the lot is simple, just pull in on the same road the shuttle came in on. The lot attendant will take the keys and finish up the transaction. The shuttle back to the airport picks you up from a canopy by that driveway. Overall, it went well. Just make sure to give a little extra time for transportation to and from the airport.

But Fox now offers a skip-the-line option for $49 per rental. That would have doubled my total charges, so I sucked it up and waited. I will not be back; Sixt and Payless don't treat me like this. Since you're reading this, do us all a favor: when it's your turn at the counter, 1) have your license and credit card ready; 2) NO you don't want insurance -- it's a ripoff and your own carrier will cover it; 3) NO you don't want to pre-pay for fuel and "bring it back empty" -- it's a ripoff and there's plenty of cheap gas within 10 miles of LAX; 4) NO you don't want an upgrade; 5) NO you don't need a Toll Pass. Well, maybe you do, but it's gonna be a ripoff. That's it: we're all waiting behind you, so step up, pay, take your keys, get out. Fox does not employ enough agents for every driver to have an in depth discussion about rental options. Stick to the script, hit the road.
