A disaster. See photos. Now won't return to repair his shoddy work. Won't return phone calls. He is a scammer. Beware.

I had him remove an in wall light system that was not constructed properly to begin with. It added little to no appeal to the overall aviance of the kitchen. The hanging fan light was a joke. Total scam business…read more Contracted with him to design a kitchen to include design plans, structural design work to remove a bearing wall, and design front and rear porch with steps. From the get go, plan dimensions were wrong and never verified in the field, cabinet sizes were not standard and to the height we selected. We even told him the sizes we wanted. Being a retired carpenter by trade, I knew what I was talking about. The owner said he was a registered architect in Kentucky when he was not, nor registered in Florida. He has no structural engineer that works for him either. Architectural and engineering plans, along with a building permit that was to take eight weeks total was still in a schematic phase after seven weeks. He blamed me for a difficult design and that was why the time took so long. Problem was he didn't know how to design cabinets. For example, he called for a standard sink base cabinet which is 36" to be 37". Other base cabinets in plan were not standard sizes and had multiple filler strips attached. Poor design. What took him seven weeks to attempt to design was done by a local cabinet store in five hours. When I complained and wanted money back I was told my $4500 dollars was non refundable as per my contract. Now I have to take him to court to try to get my money back. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. This was nothing but a scam business with no experience. I tried to resolve this amicably with him but all I was told is money is non-refundable. The tech named Charlie texted me to say that he was 11 minutes away from our home. I said that we would have the garage opened. He was polite in introducing himself and asked on what side of the fan blades to put them facing, a great question. Then as he proceeded to do each fan great. The kitchen light, which went from the original fixture built with the house to modern day, ended up having 2 original holes from the fluorescent casing. Well, I thought, oh, surely , he would fill in those 2 holes, (Not finished, just not left as holes.) "No we don't do that,". So why is Renovations in their company name?! Him seeing that I am handicapped he could have taken an extra 3-5 minutes and caulked it. My husband cannot climb ladders anymore either. So why not be generous enough to do that for me, us now as my husband was at the VA, (which was none of his business.) But renovation being thorough and complete redo, no! I gave him water and snacks upon leaving as I always do for our workers, having being brought up with my dad being in brick and stone and doing major projects for neighbors and family, this was instilled in our family. Then when I went back out to the garage, I had to sweep up debris, inclusive of washers not used etc. Clean up in their description should a thorough clean up. We have brooms in the garage. Why? Who know why! A clean up and disposal of old stuff, for proper disposal, we thought was also going to be the boxes that the fans came in and the kitchen light. Oh no! Knowledge of The Electrical Trade definitely. A thorough and complete Clean-Up, No! 09/12/2025 Let's revisit Charlie's So Called Thorough Proper Disposal and Clean -Up. Well, this AM, in getting my garbage prepared for pick up , I obviously opened up the green Traskh Barrel and low and behold he through in the interior of the boxes plus the globe and bulb of one of the ceiling fans loose in the TrashVarrel. So, O took the reacher and got them out to put in a black trash bag. How sweet?! Not! Then I took the boxes and put them in the Black Tracsh bags, lo and behold the bulbs from the other ceiling were repacked with their casings into a box. Wonderful?! Not! That was not proper disposal! He needs to be called out on his ideas and the protocol for hauling away of proper disposal. No one is supposed ever ypthrough loose garbage into the trash barrels.p, besides being ripped ut is utterly disgusting. I know some families do that but it is not acceptable protocol.
