Best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to!

This place makes the best Mexican dishes I've ever had. Love their duck burritos and melted cheese appetizers. Liked my thin cut steak and the grilled vegetables. My buddies grilled shrimp were awesome and I'm getting that next time. They have octopus cooked with different styles which I want to also try. Excellent ambience and they even had a cool band playing mellow American music tonight.

Appetizer of spanish chorizo, chiles, and artichokes.

The overall quality, chic yet colonial antique setting, wine selection, regional comidas, and prices make this place one of my favorite fine dining spots in SLP. The onions soaked in wine reduction are to die for but hang in there don't die just yet. The entree chiles en nogada is not so common and rarely this good. They also do some great chorizo appetizers and seasonal salads. Buen Provecho.

The food here was good, they have a great selection of items including tacos, different cuts, salads, pastas, seafood and soups. They have a full bar and they offer soft drinks and coffee as well. The ambience is calm and classy in an old traditional Mexican style of architecture. There is a fountain that creates a relaxing environment to enjoy your food. The place is good for groups because they have tables that accommodate larger parties. I don't recommend it for people who have children that are very active though. I ordered escamoles (ant eggs) and they were amazing. The palmito soup is made from the heart of a palm, it's creamy and very tasty. The tuna with chili is also good although I would of preferred it to be salty rather than sweet. For dessert I had the Principe cake and it was perfect, not too sweet and with a great texture. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because they take a long time in between plates and because I reserve the 5 stars for amazing food. I would recommend this place to couples for an intimate dinner, groups of people, business meals, and calm birthday celebrations. The place is business casual but they're not strict on people with a fashionably casual attire.

We went there twice while in SLP. Phenomenal food and service. The fideo was good but my favorite was the chile ventilla (misspelled). So very good. Prices were reasonable and very good service. Definitely going back when I return.

Gorgeous architecture

For starters, the tuna tostadas were deliciously seasoned, the crab empanadas delectable. I chose the shrimp Chipotle which was overcooked for my taste. I also like my food served hot and my dish was warm at best however we were a large group. My coworker got the steak Potosi which was tender and delicious. We shared the Strawberry salad which was large and fresh. The dressing was just right. I would loved to have stayed as the live musicians arrived as we were leaving at 9, but we did not. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in town.

LOVELY terrace, near the city center, great food and service! Good for business dinners, birthdays, romantic dinners, family reunions.... Must try: Ensalada Española, salmon con alcaparras, tacos de lechon, atun sellado!! I love the colorful SLP map at the entrance!
