This place opened up recently in the Bambergerhaus and, is one of two new places in the building. After extensive renovations this place replaced what used to be a Mexican / Brazilian bbq place. I must admit it was a disappointing experience. Schwabing is home to many excellent Italian restaurants and pizzerias so the choice is plenty and, so is the competition.
This place is done up nicely and has lots of tables inside with a Mediterranean feel and, many tables outside as well. The location is ideal for outdoor wooded dining as its surrounded by a gorgeous park. However, that alone does not make up for below average food and service :-)
The menu consists of pizza, pasta, salads, some starters and some desserts. I ordered the salciccia pizza which was supposed to be spicy. Unfortunately the pizza was bland and the tomato sauce lacked flavour. In fact, even after I added a ton of chili oil it was still bland. The dough was watery and the quality of the salsiccia was pretty average.
The service was below par and, it felt our waiter did not really want to be there. What started as an ok experience soon turned to a slight disappointment. If they serve food like this I am not likely to come back here at all. Prices are quite reasonable but that rarely makes up for bland food. It's a disappointment as, I was looking forward to trying this place and hoping for some great pizza....oh well time to move on :-) read more
