So she found this hotel in the heart of L'eixample which was about a 20 min walk to everything we were hitting for the most part or a short cab ride to further locations and attractions. Hotel staff, top notch and personable. Everyone was nice and accommodating, more than I can say at other hotel we stayed at on this trip. The space is really clean, they have restaurant and bar inside, gym, pool, deck lounge and tanning beds, pool chairs all that. The room was a lot more spacious then I thought it would be and bigger then subsequent hotels we ended up at. So we attempted to get early checkin due to our flight landing early AM hours, but ofc they were booked so could not accommodate. That's fine they were able to hold our luggage securely and safely while we went to start exploring and checked in later in the day when we got back. The room we had, the shower had continually kept changing water temps and the pressure was pretty weak. Our mini fridge was on the fritz, couldn't get cold so I assume the condenser was probably frozen. Only two issues really. I did somehow lock myself out of the room safe (used same PW for days) but one time it didn't work. We were worried it would take a day to get someone up and we'd have to wait but our front desk staff member was able to come up and reset it for us right away! Thank you sir! I loved the location, close to food, pharmacy, liquor stores, 20 min from the shopping strips downtown and the guadi house attraction Casa Batillo? Haha apologize I don't remember all the names. Viral bar Sips was about 15 min walk from the telly.would def stay here again when visiting.

First time staying at Zenit Borrell Hotel & we loved it!…read more Zenit is a hotel chain mainly serving major cities in Spain like Barcelona, Madrid, San Sebastián, and also in Portugal + Andorra. Super chill vibes & had an easy stay + check in/out experience. We stayed here for 4 nights and had a room with a terrace, which had a couple lounge chairs. Super comfortable & we ended up utilizing the terrace + chairs every night we stayed here. It was perfect for winding down after exploring each day. The front desk + staff were so nice! We ran into an issue with getting the safe in our room to open & I thought that we'd have to wait until the next morning to have it opened but the front desk staff member was able to reset & open the safe for us immediately after we asked. They have a restaurant + bar on the first floor by the lobby. They serve breakfast every morning but we didn't grab any food from here during our trip. They also have a rooftop pool area and it is open until 11pm (in September 2026). The day we arrived in Barcelona, we landed at 8am and I tried to request for early check-in ahead of time, but no rooms were available just yet. Luckily they were able to hold our bags for us until there was a room ready. It was ready for us a little bit before their check-in time (3pm). Check-out was easy ; we were able to leave our bags with them after check out time to explore until it was time to go to the airport. Only issues we had were: -shower water pressure + temperature were inconsistent. The temperature of the water would change from warm to hot, warm to hot making the shower experience a little annoying at times. -mini fridge didn't really work. We left some beverages + snacks in the fridge & it felt room temperature, even after changing the settings to max cold. At first, I thought it might be a universal experience but after visiting a different hotel in the city that had a working mini fridge, I realized we just didn't have a well working fridge here. Overall, I would definitely book again though! The price per night of stay was super reasonable, everything was clean, staff was great, & it's located in an amazing location in L'Eixample. ~20 min walk to Passeig de Gràcia & Plaça de Catalunya. Also a ~20 min walk to Barcelona Sants Station. Can also take public transit L5 Hospital Clinic Station.

Since they have separated reviews for hotel and restaurant I just can point out that both experiences have been exceptional. Hotel is an old masia (farmer house) repurposed in boutique hotel) and has all the amenities you like to enjoy. You are not in downtown Sant Cugat but just 15 minutes drive. It is a perfect location to stay overnight if you have any business meeting at any of the international companies nearby. Get the room that faces the patio, they put a cute little table and chairs and it is very quaint, or if you prefer more lively atmosphere, the patio is full of people having a drink and enjoying the sunset.

The price was better, we had a little kitchen, a washer and dryer, and a lovely balcony to enjoy the evening breezes with a good bottle of cava and some yummy treats. I won't hesitate to stay with banys de mar any time I'm in barcelona for any extended time. Located in barceloneta, close to the beach, close to a market, never mind the food near by and within waling distance to so many great things why stay somewhere else? The staff is friendly and helpful with suggestions and in so many small ways. Do yourself a favor, stay for a week or two and soak up all that you can, because it won't be enough and you'll want to come back for more. This is 5 stars not because it is a 5 star hotel, but because it was a great way to experience and enjoy Barcelona. The rooms are beautiful and well put together, but don't expect a mint on your pillow, go somewhere else for that.
