We wanted to upgrade our old alarm system and met with a number of providers who for various…read morereasons I felt were not up to the task. I contacted Betts and Clark their Security Manager visited and I was impressed. He did a very thorough inspection including going into our crawlspace to assess cable runs (another provider had said "wiring would be too dangerous") But Clark indicated it wouldn't be a problem and we discussed a fairly simple solution. He also spent time mapping out camera locations and discussed numerous hardware options (which none of the others had done.) When he brought Kyle and his electricians over they had any even better plan that made the wiring almost invisible. The crew was professional to the extreme and highly informative. I would highly recommend them. And this opinion was shared by a neighbour who they had also worked with. Highly recommended!

Alan and his apprentice, Ian, really earned their wages today!…read more I hired Bett's to run a new dedicated 220amp circuit from my electrical panel to my kitchen for a new induction range. Alan and Ian arrived on time, as scheduled. Some contractors might have jumped into the job without much thought. I was impressed that Alan and Ian took their time considering all the options. Not just what would be easiest for them, but also, what would provide the best job for my situation. Moreover, they took the time to discuss the options with me so that I understood exactly what to expect. Then, and only then, they jumped into the job with energy and determination. It wasn't an easy job. It was 90% plotting the route, cutting and drilling only as needed, and pulling the cable through it all from panel to kitchen. Alan and Ian are true, competent professionals. I was captivated watching and very glad that it was them, not me! Thanks Alan and Ian - and to Jason in the office for coordinating the whole affair!

We hired Tyger Boyz Curbing last year to replace the old lawn edging. We chose the style and…read morecolour, and were very excited when they came to put in the curbing. When finished, the curbing had a plastic covering so it would cure, but no one came to talk to me before they left. I didn't know how long to leave the plastic on, especially as it was very hot during the day, but I was concerned for the lawn areas under the plastic, which was weighed down wit pieces of lawn that had been cut out. I finally got hold of someone, who said the plastic could have come off after 24 hours - this was three days later. The lawn underneath was burned, of course, and, because of the extreme temperatures, didn't come back at all last year. The curbing looked very nice, but there were piles of excess sand dumped on a flower bed, and there were several large patches of slag left both on the lawn, and on the decorative rock on the other side of the curbing. No one ever came to clean these up, though I was told that someone would be back to do that. This year, the pretty peach colour that we had added to the curbing has faded over a large part of the curbing, and it is now completely white. We do not feel we received good value for our money: the curbing is not the colour we asked for, and the workers left a terrible mess for us to clean up. We will never use Tyger Boyz again, nor would we recommend them to anyone.
