So I drove. Over an hour, out into rural Alabama, because I trusted what I was told. I shouldn't have. The second I stepped onto that lot and asked about the vehicle, the whole thing unraveled. Suddenly it was gone. "Just sold." Or maybe they "couldn't find it." The explanation kept shifting -- like whoever I was talking to was improvising in real time. Not once did anyone look me in the eye and say, I'm sorry, we made a mistake. Not once did anyone acknowledge that I'd just driven over an hour on their word. Instead, the pivot came fast. Before I could even process what was happening, a salesperson was steering me toward other vehicles -- cars I'd never asked about, never researched, never wanted. The implication was clear: you're already here, you might as well buy something. That's not a coincidence. That's a strategy. Get the customer on the phone. Tell them what they want to hear. Let them make the long drive. Then work them once they're standing on your lot with nowhere else to go. It's calculated, it's cynical, and it's exactly what happened to me. I'm writing this so the next person doesn't burn a Saturday the way I did. Don't let a confident voice on the phone talk you into a two-hour round trip. Beware of this dealership, in their advertising they state "Price Matching Guarantee they'll beat any advertised price on a similar in stock new vehicle at time of delivery by $1000.00. If not they'll pay you$2000.00. Guess what it's a lie; another dealership had a mustang listed less than their and they told me sorry they couldn't go that low So basically, Chuck Stevens Ford is guilty of false advertising just to get business in the door read more

One of things I hate is buying a new car and dealing with salespeople. But today I had a great experience at Chuck Steven's Ford and ended up buying a new truck. The Product Specialist, James M. was truly a specialist, he knew everything about the truck and took time to point out each feature. I never felt pressured and most importantly I got a square deal. I was more than happy with what I received for my trade-in vehicle. While finalizing the sale with the Finance Manager, James took my truck, filled the tank with fuel and insured it was spotless. Before we finished, he setup the Ford App on my phone and connected it to the new truck. He spent a lot of time with my wife and I which was greatly appreciated. In addition to James, the financial manager, another sales lady, and the parts manager were all willing to answer every question we had. They have a terrific group of employees working there, and I recommend giving them an opportunity to show you for yourself. read more

I have had an amazing experience with Chuck Stevens Ford! My husband and I bought a new Ford Escape from here in June 2021. When I call to schedule an oil change appointment, they get me in right away and always let me wait for it. I also have the Auto Butler Paint Protection that is applied every 6 months, which is done at Chuck Stevens Dodge....and they are always super friendly as well. If I could leave zero stars I would. This dealership needs a complete overhaul of all personnel from front to back and left to right. I think the best employee who works here is the finance lady, Ms. Shannon. She some how takes care of everything. I bought a used F150 over 40 days ago and this process still isn't over yet. Still waiting on tags because someone forgot to take care of that paperwork. Let's start with the auto trader add that I saw. That ad alone had me sold. Well the ad was incorrect with the bed size of the truck and listed NON of the issues. The pictures were perfect in every way. That was about the extent of customer service you got that was "good" and the woman I spoke with about it from the internet ad. I drove an hour to come BUY this truck. Upon arrival, I immediately notice that it's not a 6.5" bed as advertised. So I walk inside and look around for Charles. I see two people working on computers. Both of which looked me in the eyes and then said ZERO words. Turns out one of them was the sales manager ( greg halliday, fired less than a week later for being a "stellar guy" who I met later and made sure that he knew that I noticed his lack of care when I walked in and said extremely loud "I guess I will greet you guys, Hello, I'm Lex and I'm looking for Charles. I am actually here to buy something if someone wants to acknowledge that..." Then Charles popped out from the back. I performed a very thorough inspection of the truck and saw many problems inside and out. These guys were going to sell me a vehicle that had a giant crack in the windshield; dirt and mud inside, outside and in the sub frame; broken tonneau cover (not advertised), and paint missing from bottom of driver side door of truck; dry rotted tires and a bad battery. It was a nightmare I drove out to look at. But they agreed to fix all the issues since I made a big stink about it (which I thought was very nice of them to do)... it took over 3 weeks to fix a windshield, replace tires, battery, fix about 12" area of paint rubbed from the door frame, a "full detail" inside and out which apparently means wash, vacuum, and wipe down real quick, and install rear fender liners. I appreciate the 50% discount on the tires and battery but lets be honest, all the issues should have been fixed post inspection from the dealership. I'm pretty sure that didn't happen since I found all the problems for them. I expect a Ford dealership to sell working Ford vehicles in good condition and not what I saw. Had I not done the inspection (that they should have done) I would have bought a truck that needed 2-3k worth of fixes to be driven safely and cosmetically sound. I drove out for a great looking used truck and what I bought was a fixer upper. Truck is great now but the service along the way was the absolute worst transaction I've ever had the dishonor of receiving. What ever you do feel free to NEVER buy a vehicle here. They have hired and fired all people I met except the salesman Charles and finance woman Shannon. Those two are good people. The rest of this company is (at least the Ford dealership) is terrible. Thank you for at least hearing me out Mr. Hodges but until this dealership is fixed I can't NOT leave a review speaking about my experience. Overall I have a good working truck now and I was able to speak with the new GM Chuck Hodges after trying to find a GM for a few weeks to discuss these issues. The dealership did what they could to make it right and I appreciate that but this was a headache from start to almost finished. read more

Terrible company, My son bought a vehicle from them in November, 2017 and it had a broken windshield that they put in writing that they would have it replaced. After untold amount of calls it still hasn't been replaced, it's now February! Don't buy anything from these people!! read more

If I could give it negative stars, I would. My daughter's car was totalled and I had $10,000 in cash. I found a car on the Chuck Steven's website that I thought would be good for my daughter. I called to make sure they still had it. Heather told me yes, they still had it. I called to make sure because I live an hour away. When we arrived we were told it had been gone since early that morning. I was extremely upset. It took them over 20 minutes to even tell us it was not there. I was treated veru rudely for being upset. They said they would look for me another one. I said I had waited long enough, they had 4 minutes. I was then told, "you dont give me a time limit, you can just leave." So I left with my money went to Mullinax and bought my daughter. Thanks for being so rude and incompetent so I didn't waste my money. I will tell everyone I know, even the ones I dont know. DO NOT BUY FROM CHUCK STEVENS! read more
