And it was the highlight of our whole weekend. We were able to pay the new switch which was fantastic (and also showed us we do not want to buy one yet haha!). Tons of pinball, some classic games in the back, and honestly, hours worth of fun. You can rent any console you could want. The $10 cover was all games for free so it was perfect. They had a bunch of really fantastic beers, I tried a couple and am still thinking about a caramel apple one I tried here. So great. The conversation with the bartender was awesome, we learned a lot about the area, history, and what has happened in the last year. Such a great experience. Highly, highly recommend to anyone. Instead of bar hopping, come here and you'll have a blast.

You get to touch and play countless pinball machines, plus there are other arcade games besides pinball too. My husband and I happily spent a good 2-3 hours playing. Admission is $17 and covers all the games, except 1-3 machines that cost an extra charge (we skipped those). You get an armband when you pay, so you can leave and come back as you please while they're open that day. They also sell drinks, snacks, and beer at the counter. My husband was initially skeptical, but I pushed him to go. While my motion sickness didn't allow me to get beyond the first game (pro tip: take a non-drowsy Dramamine 30 min before your appointment if you also suffer from this unfortunate condition), my husband absolutely LOVED the entire experience. We both had fun because he got to try out several different games and I got to watch him on the massive screen directly behind him (side note: your spouse in the VR headset flying through a make believe city makes for a pretty epic boomerang lol). We had such a good time that we bought an Oculus when we got home and have really enjoyed playing/sharing the experience with our friends. Final verdict: If you want to tryout the highest quality VR before taking the $400+ plunge for a personal headset (or just want to take a break from drinking and eating), definitely schedule a session with Better Than Unicorns. BONUS TIP: The building is just around the corner from French Broad's Chocolate Factory -- so after our VR we only had to walk a few yards for a 30-min chocolate factory tour and a liquid truffle. Walter was our VR guide and was so patient with us newbies and very accommodating of our requests to play different types of games. And man, do they have a lot of games! It was also hilarious to watch others in the group play.
