This seems to be a house complex turned into a temple. Has several classrooms. I think his could be a school of some sort too? Very good choice and he best temple to go in the area! Especially to celebrate the new year! They're the only place that serves free vegetarian food also! Everyone who works there is nice and friendly and very generous. Pros: -very clean -spacious -very friendly and good customer service -a lot of free vegetarian food!!!! -a lot of statues and a beautiful pond -a small praying area to receive fortune for the next year -plenty of seating area to eat -you can self service the food! -clean bathrooms (no hand soap) -it's pretty Cons: -no parking space but plenty of street parking

Vinh Nghiem Temple is one of the three temples in a 30 minute radius for my family to visit during New Years since my mom cannot drive on the freeways. The Headmaster and the Buddhist Nun here are both really nice and welcoming. My mom and I are not regulars to this temple, but every time we come, they always offer us a vegetarian meal and well blessings. I know the temple underwent construction in recent years and now they have a private lot that makes it easy for visitors to park. Back in the days, we would have to park a few houses down on the street. With the new construction, the main hall has also been refurnished with new Buddha statues. The interior and exterior of this place looks great. I am slightly surprised that Vinh Nghiem Temple has no reviews yet, but then it makes sense since their regular disciples seem to be an older more traditional crowd of older ladies. If you are looking for a nearby temple to visit, this place is great!

I've the stall with the crab fried rice super yummy. The front building with the thai boat noodles very tasty. The thai tea and thai coffee is good as well in the front as well. My goal is hopefully to try all the stalls but that will take weeks to come. Too much good food not enough stomach space. After the viral IGs and online recognition from influencers it has gotten more busy but worth it for the vendors. So happy to see them busy. Hoping this stays here for as long as possible.

They operate on a token system, so be sure to bring cash or have Zelle ready to exchange for tokens ($1/token). They have a variety of food options, such as a beverage van selling regular/green Thai tea and coffee, as well as staples such as pad see ew and papaya salad. My favorites are the $1 pork skewers and the boat noodle, incredibly worth it and sooo flavorful! Honestly better than some of the restaurants I've had out there. For parking, if you don't want to park in the dirt, you might get lucky with a spot just outside of the entrance by the dead end (I've never had an issue parking at the curb there). The staff there are very friendly and sweet, and they usually have someone singing karaoke :) such a great place, highly recommend!

There are plenty of parking spots for free. Entered the visitor center and was given a rundown by employee. Proceeded to the temple, which is the most incredible thing I've seen. It felt like we were transported out of Cali. You place your shoes on a shoe rack before proceeding up the stairs. The temple was beyond words. No phones, talking, hats or shoes allowed inside. Took the elevator to basement, where we walked through a museum before exiting back to the shoe rack. Went back to the visitor center, where we enjoyed browsing the gift store and cafe. There is an amazing selection of snacks. The experience was 10/10.

We made the mistake of following Google Maps' directions and it led us to a gate that was closed. Not being familiar with the location, we decided to just park on the street and walk until we found an open gate in the scorching sun that day. That was a mistake, although I suppose I appreciate the exercise. If you find gates closed, just drive around the venue until you find an open one. There's plentiful parking in the venue and it's free! Security will give you a sheet with a list of things not to do. FYI, there's a rule of no backpacks, but specifically this is in regards to large ones. I panicked a little bit because I always just have a small backpack on me in lieu of a purse, but the kind lady at check-in explained that it was fine. They allow photos of the outside of the temple, but no photos of the interior. Shame, but I completely understand. I really highly recommend visiting this place if you get the chance. This is by far the most beautiful and insanely detailed architectural temple I've seen in Socal. The interior was absolutely breathtaking. If I'm ever in the area again I'd stop by just to see it and take anyone else I know to see it.

He said if I turned my car around instead of backing up, that he would "close the gates on us" and trap us in. That's so ironic considering their "loving-kindness sign" posted right at the gate.
