She explained every step of the way and even made sure I was comfortable at all times, even when lowering the footrest of the hair wash station (every time!) I felt very comfortable with the process because she was able to anticipate what my concerns were - she reassured me and help me understand what to look out for, particularly the aftercare. He's consistently late to appointments, regardless of the day of the week or time of day. It's usually at least 30 minutes, and there was even a time when he was more than an hour late. The frustrating part is that he isn't running behind because he's still with another client. He'll be out getting lunch or something and come back with a drink while I've been waiting. I find this really irresponsible, especially when I'm paying $100+ for a haircut that already takes at least 1.5 hours. I don't mind the length of the appointment at all when it starts on time, but the additional wait makes it difficult to plan anything around it. I'm always stressed because I either need to be somewhere afterward or I'm coming in after work, and he's regularly not ready until at least 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment. I think my last appointment was the final straw for me. I had enough time to take myself out for brunch and even do a little shopping at Pacific Commons, and he was still an hour late. I really like his work, which is why I kept coming back despite the delays, but I won't be back for a while.

Stephanie knows exactly what you want with just showing a picture or by a short description. She never disappoints, I get so many compliments about my hair. She does a gorgeous balayage, I was worried that it would be too blonde with my skin tone, she started with a soft blonde balayage and I fell in love, I went full blonde balayage the next time. I get scared experimenting, but Stephanie helps ease me into it which I love. She also does a wonderful cut and blowdry, I feel like a million bucks when I come out of her salon! We scheduled a consultation and prices what I wanted out into 2 sessions and went through the steps of what she would do. My first session was a cut and dye I had asked to try and match my natural color as close as possible and she did! It was almost identical! I then we scheduled the highlights.
