That always worked perfectly. A bill came in the mail yesterday with new instructions how to pay online at www.quickpayportal.com. It was quick, easy and safe. I entered a code from my bill, it pulled up my account showing the correct amount I owed, I put in my credit card info and paid the bill. I can pay on my cell phone too by going to the same web site. Really convenient. Using this new payment service, I can also keep the phone lines open for patients who really need to get through to the medical staff quickly. Smart patient care improvement. I like Dr. Frandsen's clinic because it is so comprehensively innovative and progressive.

And I wasn't wrong about Melissa Harwood's attitude on my first and only visit. Don't bother with this clinic! And to add they fancy themselves somewhat concierge Drs by which you pay a yearly fee to join. My old family doctor in Illinois worked 5 days a week, was a mother of a newborn, and a toddler, managed (somehow) to fit an appointment with my elderly father within 24 hours and visit him when he would have to be hospitalized...and if she couldn't do it her partner would cover...who was also an awesome doc, now that I think about it. Needless to say we are looking for a new doctor that can help us when an emergency arises. It has been a rough two weeks and my wife urgently needs some attention.

When I have needed an appointment at the last minute, it is rare that they can't fit me in withing a day or 2. Also, being a "self-pay" patient, I find her to be very affordable for my general health care. I have had a few issues concerning billing and communication but they have always been addressed promptly and politely. It may be a medical practice but I understand that it is also a business and there will occasionally be employees who are not as polite or possess great customer service skills. A polite letter or email directly to Dr. Fiala citing these concerns has always resulted in a positive response. It's best to bypass the phone and use the patient portal unless you're making an appointment. This includes calling about billing as they outsource their services to overseas phone banks. I've had to hang up a few times until I get a different customer service representative that knows their system when I had billing issues. Outside of that one downside it's been great.

Now I'm in the parking lot, take a deep breath and walked into the lobby. Greeted by a doctor and then I was told to check in which took a minute. The wonderful nurse informed me to go down the hallway for further directions. The new nurse showed me to a room or the injection room which I entered. 10 seconds later it was all over. Only thing left was to get my sticker and wait 15 minutes and then Adiós Amigo! The folks at KAISER have the system down and that's much appreciated not only for me but the nervous people all lined up. KAISER since taking over for Group Health have really stepped up the game for health care in Washington. I've been very satisfied with my health care over last several years. Thanks Kaiser!
