We were pleased with the logo, the quality of the prints and the fact that we got a copy of everything digitally. The attendant was very professional. Also, the lens was a little off center and we felt it took too long between shots so guests didn't realize there was going to be four flashes or they got impatient.

Having found a group of VHS tapes in the garage I decided it was time to put them on disc…read more I did an online search and found familyography. Prices seemed fair do decided to try them out. Upon arrival the place looks like a mom and pop small business. Nothing special about the ambience just equipment and one staff person. The line up of materials on the counter told me they were busy but when I was told it would be a few weeks till my vhs to disc transfers were done I was disappointed. As I had hoped to have them back by Mother's Day. I was asked what I would like as the titles of the discs and was asked for a $30 deposit and went on my way. Follow up came at almost the 3 week mark. Pick up tines were recommended, not sure if they keep consistent hours so always ask or call ahead. I had my husband drop off another tape upon pick up and that one turned around in about a week so I suspect it is all volume driven, again call ahead and ask if you are in a rush. All in all happy with my service, would use them again.

We had no other choice but to cancel our wedding due to COVID-19 and Diamond would not work with us in returning any part of our deposit. Instead, they tried to tell us they were being kind by waiving the full amount due because they mistakenly thought we did not cancel within 60 days, when in fact, we actually reached out to them in March. This was well before 60 days of the event, which would have taken place in mid-June. In addition, we live out of state, which makes it difficult for us to reschedule a big event like this, especially in a time of such uncertainty. We understand contracts; however, Diamond was our only vendor who would not work with us in returning any part of our deposit, and to make matters worse, used incorrect information to make it look as though they've done us a favor. We felt quite insulted.

LAS is a former industrial warehouse so you have the exposed metal beams, hardwood floors, a bartop topped with bowling alley lanes, in a brick building in downtown Cleveland that's not a typical event space and is exactly what we sought. Stefanie and Amanda were very responsive to emails and phone calls; had a very clear contract; and was fairly priced. We were able to access the venue the entire day before our event for set-up, (double check yours, see the contract) (Hint: if you are hanging items (lights, etc) up; use clear fishing line and 3M hooks!). We were also able to bring in our own caterer (you cannot bring in your own alcohol but we were happy with their selection and prices). That said, my only real constructive criticisms is the signage for parking isn't great so cautious family members may be unsure of where to park (there is dedicated parking, but hey you probably shouldn't drink and drive, anyways...and the entrance for handicapped individuals isn't very clearly marked (although the handicapped accessible ramp is greatly appreciated!). Note the event space is on the second floor and there are many stairs but that's expected for the space. I'd definitely have an event here again and had absolutely no regrets working with Lake Affect Studios.
