For over 8 years, I have been dealing with knee pain. I injured my right knee while playing soccer…read more After many consultations, seeing different specialists, and doing PT, I got a MRI. The results stunted me, I was shocked. I ended up receiving an injection called "Monovisc". What a difference it truly made! It was effective for 1 year. Just recently, my right knee started to give me troubles. From fluid build-up to literally keeling over due to the pain. I tried home remedies such as icing the area, soaking in warm water with epsom salt, and taking one of my prescribed 600mg ibuprofen. None of those things worked. So with that being said, I turned to Google and began the search for an orthopedic specialist within 25 miles of where my home is. The search went very well and before I knew it, I was called by Dr. Kelley's office in Branford. The receptionist scheduled an appointment for me. Talk about stellar service! I knew that the moment I walked through the door into the Connecticut Orthopedics office, that this would be the start of my next treatment plan. Dr. Kelley's nurse (I forgot her name) was so kind, welcoming, and professional. She did a few x-rays and then brought me to the exam room. Not too long after, Dr. Kelley came in and spoke with me. He examined both knees, and knew that my right knee was worse then the left. After the examination, Dr. Kelley discussed the different options for treatment. He provided a few options. Two or three suggestions is better then one! After hearing the treatment option that he used when getting treatment and the stellar effects that came with it, I was like "yeah, let's do this"! Instead of one injection, I will get three - one injection per three weeks. This time around, I will get an injection called "Orthovisc". Although I am terrified of needles, I am looking forward to having my right knee get better. Knowing that Dr. Kelley is doing everything for me and my best interest to avoid any surgeries makes me so happy and I truly am grateful for this! I know that Dr. Kelley wants nothing but the very best for his patients. I am so grateful for having such a top-notch orthopedic specialist working with me. Dr. Kelley, you are the best; thank you so much and I look forward to having my treatment provided by you!
