He represented both me and my child during a very stressful expulsion process and handled everything with the perfect balance of professionalism and compassion. From the very beginning, Mr. Wallin was understanding, supportive, and accommodating to our needs. He took the time to really listen, explain every step of the process, and made sure we always felt heard and prepared. His personable approach made a very intimidating situation so much more manageable, and I truly felt he cared about my child's future. Most importantly, thanks to his guidance and advocacy, my child was able to stay in school. If you ever find yourself in need of representation in this area, I highly recommend Matt Wallin. He is not only skilled and knowledgeable but also genuinely kind, which makes all the difference.

After a year and a half had to start over new. I spoke to Jonathan Lynn a supervising attorney and he treated me like a suspect and was not on my team. This was a simple wobbler that could have been resolved but this firm was so unorganized they could not accomplish anything! During pre trial nothing was prepared, no game plan, no discussion before and Luis probably has not done a pre trial in years, it appears he is just a plea deal lawyer. Do not hire! Waste of money! I hired them for my divorce case, which also involved immigration matters making the case highly sensitive. From day one, communication was almost nonexistent. My calls, texts, and emails were consistently ignored, rarely answered even when I sent critical documents and evidence. Their mishandling of my case amounts to serious professional negligence. Discovery responses were submitted with incorrect information, and a motion to compel was filed after the court's 45-day deadline that also missing separate statements Because of their failure, my hearing was dismissed by the judge. This directly caused financial loss and severely compromised my case. Despite paying thousands of dollars, I received no meaningful legal support. The only time they contacted me was to demand payment. When I requested accountability and a refund due to their mistakes, they refused to accept responsibility--even after the judge dismissed the hearing. Instead, they acted as if they knew better than the court. After I posted an honest review describing my experience, Mr. Omar contacted me and threatened legal action unless I removed it. Rather than addressing their errors or refunding my money, they attempted to intimidate me into silence. This conduct is completely unacceptable and unprofessional. Due to their incompetence and lack of ethics, I was forced to change attorneys after four months, losing both time and money. Other reviews reflect the same pattern: once hired, communication stops. I strongly warn anyone considering this firm do not risk your case or your hard-earned money here. I will be filing a formal complaint with the California State Bar so this behavior (Mal practice)can be properly investigated.

Scafiddi and ask for Chris Gardner -- he is the real deal. An old parole violation for my brother came up a few months ago, so we went to court to get it resolved. We explained to his appointed conflict-panel attorney that the issue happened during COVID and my brother had been released at that time. When we appeared in court, the judge simply called his name, said "parole violation," and took him into custody with no bail. We were shocked. We were given another court date 30 days later for sentencing. During those 30 days, I tried repeatedly to reach the public defender and was told to contact the same conflict-panel attorney -- but his website was down, there was no email, and his voicemail was full. I could not reach him the entire month my brother sat in jail. At the next hearing, that same attorney told us the judge wanted to give my brother two years. We again explained that this all happened during COVID and there was clearly a mistake, but nothing changed -- still no bail, still in custody. I started calling attorneys all over San Bernardino. After days of getting nowhere, I finally found Chris Gardner -- and everything changed. He listened to us, understood the facts, answered every call or called me back the same day, and responded quickly to texts and emails. I immediately knew we had found the right attorney. When Chris showed up to court, it was obvious he was respected -- everyone greeted him warmly. The conflict-panel attorney was still pushing for two years, but Chris got my brother released, the case terminated, and no probation. Do not go to court unrepresented. Go with someone you can trust and who knows the system. Chris Gardner saved my brother two years of his life. A huge thank-you to Chris!

That changed when I found the Haynes Law Firm. Crista and her team were consistently professional, responsive, and supportive throughout the entire process. This was a long and challenging experience for me, but Crista, and especially her assistant Sandi, made a significant difference. They kept me focused, reassured, and motivated to see the case through to the end. Thanks to their dedication and guidance, I was able to successfully close out my case. If you value the dollar, Do Not hire this attorney. I seldom write reviews, but I feel it's my moral duty to inform others before they experience the same Debacle. I'm also writing this review under the protection of my First Amendment rights, "Freedom of Speech". I've read other reviews for other attorneys who have gone to the extreme of taking legal action against their clients for thier yelp reviews. We came to her for a DVRO that had been filed with no actual proof to enforce it. During our initial consultation I should have recognized the "Red Flags", as she was very clear to let us know that she was in charge! Her first time in court was remote and asked for a continuance, even after we were informed by her office that she was driving and unable to text but that she would be here. She stated that the petitioner had the "Burden of Proof" and that we didn't need to send her any proof we had on our part. The next hearing we were notified late afternoon the day before court that she was sending an "appearance attorney", and expecting us to know what this meant. This other attorney doesn't even work for her law firm. She's an independant attorney currently unemployed. She came to court with just her cell phone. She was not prepared. When the judge asked the petitioner if she had received evidence from the respondent's attorney she said No. If the appearance attorney was prepared she would have told the judge that the petitioner did receieve our declaration and the reason we know this is because the assistant to Crista Haynes told me the petitioner called their office asking for a continuance. When writing to Crista Haynes, upset that she wasn't there to represent us, she had the nerve to tell me she had to pay for this attorney out of her pocket and that we were lucky she didn't charge us. Because she wasn't well prepared, because there was a conflict of personalities, because she didn't want to hear the truth, that she pushed our case to the back burner, she went into court and did not defend our case. She was very unprofessional. She should have told us up front that we should probably retain an attorney that's going to defend us. As soon as Trial ended and the Judge found for the Plaintiff, she goes back to her office and sends us a SOA "Substitution of Attorney" and they have sent us 3 attempts to get us to sign this document so they can close out our case. Instead of signing this document, I sent an email stating how unhappy we were over her unprofessionalism and her lack of effort to win the case. In her mind, it's the respondent's fault. Evidence provided by the petitioner was from June 2023 and prior to a Restraining order! We're in court in August 2025 and no evidence after June 2023 to support the plaintiff's claim. Way to go Crista. I hope my review has done it's job by causing you haste in your decision making process when hiring an attorney. All of these 5 star posts are a little suspect to me of their validity. Read the negative posts and that's closer to reality. They can't all be exaggerating, can they?
