Then I found out that DeSoto had an Urgent Care of Kansas clinic that opened in my hometown of De Soto, and I decided to give it a chance, though I was still incredibly anxious and skeptical. From the moment I met Dr. Saboor Rashid, the experience was different. He didn't just listen to my long list of symptoms; he really listened. He was attentive and took the time to examine me. He confidently diagnosed my issue and assured me, "I know what that is, we're going to fix it." When I left the office, still filled with doubt, I returned to ask him to confirm my diagnosis. His compassionate response, "Let's not worry about the diagnosis--take the medicine and come back to your next appointment. I do believe you," was exactly what I needed to hear. Just as he predicted, I started getting better. He has since put me on a path to healing, and my chronic conditions are improving. The severe rash that tormented me for so long is finally gone. My arthritis is under control. I'm looking into different ways to lose weight. I have also been able to get off medications like Xanax, pain pills, and Suboxone. It isn't just Dr. Rashid who makes this place special, although he could be, is that amazing. Tony, who man's the front desk,( I do need to set an appointment) answers phone calls, provides technical support with the tablets and is right on with his ability to handle insurance and patient questions all while keeping everything else in order to not once has shown if he was frustrated or makes me feel like I'm annoying if I ask questions. He is amazing. In all my visits to both the De Soto and Gardner offices, I have yet to encounter a single person who is rude or condescending. The entire staff is knowledgeable, truly wants to help, and will help. I've never trusted a doctor more and can't recommend this clinic enough. When my kids need urgent care, who are 4 and 5 years old; one of them has a brain injury, they come here too. I can't give this place enough stars and I'm not exaggerating if you're looking for a new primary care doctor or you just need to get urgwn, this is the place to be you won't find a better team! On my first visit he prescribed pain medicine for 2 weeks. He would not refill until I saw him again. He told me the next visit he would file my insurance and I would not have to pay another $250. When I arrived, the whole scenario changed. He was requiring me to pay another $250 dollars or he would not see me. He, and his staff lied to me. I am reporting him to the Kansas State Medical Board. I've had bronchitis many times and never had a doctor order an x-ray. This doctor ordered two the first time and another the second, even though I said I wasn't having any chest problems, it was an ear infection. Almost every patient I saw in there went in for an X-ray. He didn't even bother to look in my throat or in my ears. He kept asking me questions and then checking his phone for text messages. And then would ask me the same question again because he wasn't paying attention. I wouldn't recommend this doctor.

Dr Shah (somehow a team doctor for Miami Heat) was so buttoned up, articulate. Established immediate confidence. His office moved my arthroscopic surgery site to keep my care in network (BCBSKC). Day of procedure I'm in at 6:15 am, home by 9:30. Three weeks later with PT at Center for Athletic Performance at St Luke's (my realtors reco, aggressive, excellent) I'm going great.

Been a patient here for years and so was my husband. Used to be a great practice. I was sent to the…read morehospital via an ambulance in May while on vacation and chose not to have a battery of tests done and come home and see Dr Brown. I made an appt when I got home and it took nearly 2 months to get in. Today they call me while I am literally driving to my appt and say "sorry we can't see you today since you haven't been here in a while you're a new patient". I've had the appt for almost 2 mo the and they only figure that out 30 minutes before I'm supposed to be there? The right thing to do would have been to go ahead and see me but I guess this practice isn't interested in doing the right thing. The front and back office will ruin a Dr's office for you everytime. It's rarely the physicians fault. I will be finding a more competent office going forward. That is deplorable customer service. No one seems to want to do the right thing anymore sadly.
