Second year in a row coming here! Great selection of Douglas and Noble firs that are fresh and last a long time. They've maintained reasonable prices for high-quality trees and the proceeds go to a good cause. All the volunteers, including the students from Wesley school, are friendly and knowledgeable. Parking is easy with spots designated right out front. Getting the tree in the car is no hassle as they can put it in a large plastic bag and place it in the car. It's not a massive lot, but it really doesn't need to be since all the trees are beautiful. Love this place and will be coming here every year! read more

My family and I shopped here for our first Christmas in Los Angeles, for a Christmas tree it was such an easy process the staff were warm, friendly, kind and helpful! They allowed my family to choose the tree we wanted without hovering and selling themselves, they let the beautiful trees speak for them self! Where can I begin? I just came across the friendliest most nicest people EVER!! What a delight it was, going to Christmas Tree Lot. When you buy a tree here, the proceeds go to the church. As soon as my fiancé and I walk in, we immediately find a tree. Then we look at the price..: $50.00!? The other lot in Toluca Lake is charging $80 for the same size tree. I knew too keep looking after that and thankfully ended up here. I got a tree, a nice stand, some vitamin stuff to keep the tree healthy, and a plastic sheet for when we are done with the tree, not to mention delivery, all for $72.00. It is so absolutely perfect in my humble abode. The gentlemen helping us was so kind, as he knew we were on a budget. It's a smaller lot than most but every tree they have is literally perfection, so you will indeed find the one for you. It is located in a very convenient area with plenty of free street parking available. When we asked for delivery, they told us it would get delivered around 3 pm on the same day, and they totally kept their word. The 2 old folks at the register are just so sweet, patient, and kind. I'm telling you, don't go anywhere else! Go to your local tree lot on Tujunga! :) you can also grab hot cocoa from the gelato place a couple of blocks down before you look for a tree to really be in the Christmas Spirit! To add, Everyone here is always so helpful and cheerful. They even strap the tree on for free. So if you're a mom like me, traveling alone no problem. My husband and I have enjoyed getting our Christmas trees at this lot for six years. We've always gotten a beautiful tree, the proceeds went to a good cause - and the lot is around the corner from our condominium. We love community, and have always found the volunteers friendly and helpful. This year was a completely different story. We waited to get our tree till the second week of December because we wanted to keep it up for my New Year's Eve birthday. We got to the lot on Friday at 5pm and, as always, asked for a seven foot Noble Fir. We were disappointed they only had two because we usually have at least a dozen choices. Both trees were quite bad. The first had a huge hole in it that my husband pointed out, while the workers were calling it flawless. Just bizarre. The second was about 5 1/2 feet tall, clearly mis-marked. The worker told me he'd sell me an extra tree stand so I could prop it up. That would have added $20 to my $90 tree. What?!? I noticed the trees looked old and asked the worker how long they'd been at the lot. He said they were fresh, and I took his word for it because we'd had such good luck there in the past. We took the taller tree with the gaping hole. We asked the worker to cut the bottom to keep it healthy, and he said they'd already done that. They did do a great job tying it to the top of our car. The next day, after giving it a good drink of water, our tree was propped up in our beautiful condominium displaying white lights and my collection of 100+ ornaments. But by day three, it was clear the tree was very old. The needles and limbs were falling, along with many of my ornaments. We did a lot of entertaining over the holidays, and I was embarrassed to have a dead looking tree amongst our festive wonderland. Then on Christmas Eve, we entertained my family, and my sister said "Cynthia, take that tree DOWN. It's a fire hazard!!" Luckily we had Christmas at her house - but I dreaded coming home to that dead tree. Today's December 26th, and my husband and I spent most of the day taking the tree, ornaments and everything Christmas down. We're relieved to feel safe again, but feel pretty much ripped off of Christmas. And, of course, there won't be a tree on New Year's Eve... We'll never go to this lot again, I'm sad to say. We got a tree here years ago and totally forgot how great it was! This past weekend in the rain we were on our 4th lot (not a great selection this year and some lots are so $$$), and remembered this place... I'm so happy we did! We got there 30 minutes before it opened and the gentleman working inside the gates was so sweet and let us look around before they opened, which he totally didn't have to do. We found a beautiful tree at a really good price and put it on hold for later then they officially opened. A different gentleman helped us when we returned and was also extremely nice and helpful. I loved everything about this place. The best part of it all is that proceeds go to charity. Isn't Christmas about giving? Great way to start your season. The lot is small while having excellent selection. I liked that. I didn't have to look at a bunch of trees. I literally picked mine out in 10 minutes. $45 for a 6.5 ft tree. What a value! Service was great too. Someone asked if I needed help after I was walking the lot for two minutes. I paid with my credit card and volunteers had it on the roof of my Subaru in 5 minutes flat. So do yourself a favor, buy smart and have some of your money go to charities. Till next year! read more

My gf and I had such a wonderful time picking out our very first real tree from this lot. On past Holiday Seasons we used a "fake tree" gifted to us by my mother, but this year we wanted to go legit! This place is 5 stars all the way. Everyone was so kind and helpful. I wish I remembered the woman's name, but once we picked out the perfect little tree she wrapped it up for us and even helped us get it into the car. I don't know about fairness of price because I've never purchased a real live tree, but I don't even mind because it all goes to charity. I even tipped the woman who helped us because I saw a sign saying they were all volunteers and she said "Great an extra tip to donate thank you!" I cannot describe how happy I was to come across this group selling Christmas trees. If you want quality trees of any height and are looking around.. you need to come here. It doesn't matter where you are in LA - I doubt you'd find the quality, price, and SERVICE that I found at this tree lot tonight. The North Hollywood First United Methodist Church operates the lot and EVERYONE was over the top awesome. They even strapped it to the roof of my car and added extra twine because I was headed on the highway. It's worth the extra drive folks. I was so pleased that I left a tip in the amount of my tree. It was a cold night and these kids and Gentleman that helped me were so sweet and kind. I'll never look for a tree anywhere else in LA. read more

Such a sweet, no stress holiday moment! My sweetheart and I wandered over, since we live nearby, just to look around. They had such cute little trees though, we were smitten and took one home. The people who worked there were all super charming and helpful, and even gave us a free mistletoe sprig and wished us merry Christmas. The proceeds go to some great charities, more than one of which my sweetheart and I have already donated to in the past, so it felt good all around. They were totally happy to split the costs between our credit cards, and bag up the tree for easier carrying on our walk home. I still smile every time I walk past. Pros: Friendly, helpful staff. The money earned is split amongst charities. Not too busy when we visited on a weekday, easy street parking. Good selection of trees when they had them in stock. We got a beautiful, seven almost eight footer, pretty full, lasted awhile. Cons: Their informational line was useless, no one called me back when they said that I should call to confirm new tree arrivals. Our first visit here was disappointing, because they ran out of trees. We did come back, and we did buy a great tree in the end. Overall, I'd recommend buying your holiday trees from here. Although my gut told me otherwise, my experiences have always been great in the past and I am more concerned with donating to charity and giving to those in need than arguing that an issue I had was something other than miscommunication. I've waited in line to buy Christmas trees at hardware stores and commercial lots, but I never felt the Christmas spirit at those places. Getting a tree was just one more holiday chore for me. Until today. This Christmas tree lot is staffed by volunteers, and the profits go to local charities! I selected a tree for $65 -- 6' tall, lovely Nordmann fir, very reasonably priced. At the register however, I was inspired to contribute a bit more. I tore up my cheapskate card and tossed in an extra donation because the money goes to worthy causes like a local food bank and assistance for people living on the Noho streets. Guess I really caught the Christmas spirit here -- or, assisted by these generous volunteers, I remembered what Christmas is all about. read more

Went to Home Depot and it was a disaster . They basically throw a completely tied up tree in the over stuffed corners of the booth. Then the worst part is nobody is around or willing to help you. I went to this place where I spent the same amount as I would have at Home Depot but got amazing service from extremely nice and good hearted people. But the best part is your money goes to charity . What I love about the trees at this lot are that come January - I don't want to take my tree down because it's still in amazing condition. As fresh as when I bought it. It's become our family tradition to take the family, choose a tree, and walk it home. Now with 2 little kids, we drive the 2 blocks. And did I mention all the proceeds go to charity. That means that everyone you see on the lot is donating their time. And you must take a peek at the church that you drive by everyday. Just bought a beautiful tree from these wonderful people. It is really fresh and a 6' tree from an Oregon tree farm was $65.00 which is very reasonable. They opened early for me because I didn't know they open at 4PM. I was there at 3:15 and they happily opened the gate, helped me with my tree and tied it on the car. The people are volunteers and profits go to several charities, including pet rescue charities. If you buy a tree stand, you can return it next year and not have to buy another one. They'll trade it out for one that is on the tree you choose. I drove to this lot due to the reviews and they are spot on! Wonderful place! read more
