So, this review is a little late. However, my friends are now starting to get married and look at photographers - so it gave me a chance to look through my wedding photos. I used Christina Wehbe for my wedding photos for my September 2015 wedding.
There are a lot of things that I liked about Christina! She was personable, she CARED about you, and she cared about how her photos of YOU came out. She took pride in her work! And I do believe she would try and try again and again to capture the perfect photo that you wanted. There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that she is talented, and has very good ideas. She is very cookie cutter however, every bride she takes the same photos - over and over. If you look at her work - you can tell that the poses are the same over and over again.
Anyways, I am writing this review because something about looking at my wedding photos still angers me... is that not crazy? After my wedding, I was SO excited to see the photos! Who isn't? I could hardly wait - and Christina always put up with my "when do you think the photos are coming" God bless! Anyways, the day my photos arrived (Oct. 2015) I went through every single one and with every single one my heart dropped and dropped. We had gone over and over our "Wedding photo plan" we had an outline of everything! Christina & her partner missed so many moments on my special day that I will never be able to get back. I was disappointed and upset. So I sent Christina a (WAY WAY WAY too long email!) I went through basically every photo and every party of the wedding day and I expressed what we had talked about and how I did not think she delivered....
Part of my email to her:
"On to Dominican, well I know you're going to be really disappointed because I know you tried so hard, and I saw the effort, but there is only like 3 photos out of the 30 that I like... I don't know if that's good odds, or bad. But I am just offering advance... when a bride has a long train wouldn't you take more photos in the grass to contrast the train? That would make it look longer, wouldn't it? I think so. Every photo I look at I am holding my veil, and Jim and I are looking at each other... I want to be smiling looking at the camera. We didn't even use half the space at Dominican for good photos... and I didn't think both photographers were going to be on me and Jim.... I hardly got any photos of me with my bridesmaids. Which I am VERY upset about. I was actually upset the day of, but I tried to just relax, and have trust that everything was going to come out good. But there is literally a totall of 10 photos with my bridesmaids. And you never sent me the photos of me with my bridesmaids individually... I want those. Those are the only ones I will have with them by myself since we did not take anymore. Now, I know you're going to tell me that the weather was bad, but we could of went under the cat walk at Dominican? Why didn't we? My bridal party sat there for one hour while Jim and I took photos, when I thought we discussed you with Jim and I - and Sam with the bridal party! HECK!! I would of taken photos of them without us in them. I can't even put into words how aggravated and sad I am about this. I know it is a little difficult for you to understand, because you did not plan this wedding. You didn't pay over $3,000 for the bridesmaids dresses, over $1,000 for their flowers, and then hardly get any photos with them in it. The day was meant to celebrate every ounce of love, not just for Jim and I but to the girls and boys who have loved and supported us through it all. I don't even have photos to show of that. What makes me even sadder, is I look at other girls' wedding and I see all these wonderful photos they have with their bridesmaids, and I only have 10 - total. That's it. Please send the ones with me and them individually."
This is quoted from her email back to me:
9. "We didn't go under the catwalk in the Domincan because you decided to leave to head to your reception, Have you asked me to take more photos, I would have delivered, but I haven't developed the ability to read minds yet Hana. You were ready to leave and you were being called by your party. If you remember I didn't want to leave yet, and I kept taking the necessary key photos of your bridesmaids under the rain. Thank you for noticing how hard and dedicated we worked on your wedding day Hana."
Please read above, now I am not sure about you --- but is that how your wedding photographer that you paid over $5,000 should talk to you? I didn't think so either. She states "had you of asked me to take more photos" I was the bride! It was my wedding day - I shouldn't have to ask you when we spent 5 hours discussing a timeline, she completely didn't take any fault or blame - listen sister - you were the one with the camera - not me! I was trying to enjoy the love on my wedding day - not be worried about photos - THAT WAS YOUR JOB.
Anyways, this review has been on my "to do" list. read more
