Had two visits for cleanings which should have been covered by insurance. Each time I was told everything would be covered after I paid my copay. Then a short time later, I received a bill saying I owed them more money because a deep cleaning was more expensive., (up charge not discussed) The first visit was 2024, When I questioned the office staff I was told "oh that is just the corporate office who does our billing". I was told, "don't worry about the charge, we will handle it as the charge does not look accurate". I received two additional bills in the mail and when I went in person to question this charge, I was told by a different receptions that I did owe the money to them and was required to pay it, I reluctantly paid. The second visit was in (2025). I went in for a cleaning and the same thing happened, when I went to pay my bill, I was charged more than what was quoted and covered by my insurance. I again reluctantly paid what they said I owed, and decided that I would never use this office again due to the shady way they up charge and bill their customers. I do not normally write reviews But..... Now in 2026 I received a bill in the mail saying I owed them money for the above described procedures that I reluctantly paid in their office!!! I am not being billed by Dr Doerner but now Aspire Dental. It is hard to fathom that I am being requested to pay a bill that is supposedly over two yeas old, and paid in person in the office. And the real kicker is I have bank transactions from my bank account showing these payments were made for the exact amount they are trying to bill me for in 2026. The Wonderfull part was when I tried to call no one answered and was requested to leave a message so they could call me at their convince. Still haven heard from them. Upon reading reviews of this office, both previous Dentist, and now the current Aspire, I see quite a few complaints similar to mine. It appears they have a new name but the same business model and scams. Absolutely horrible business practice, with upcharging, and non existent customer service. Avoid this place at all costs no matter what name is on the sign out front.

Dr. Maltby exceeded my expectations. I was very nervous going to a new dentist as I've been with my…read moreprevious dentist for almost five years. He was so very gentle. I had a tooth pulled and a crown done both because my previous dentist failed on my bridge (only had it for two to three years). And the pain the day of and after is almost non existent. That alone is an unbelievable task!! And another thing that made me a believer and eased my anxiety level; my previous dentist told me I needed a root canal as well as the other tooth pulled. When Dr. Maltby got me in the chair he discovered I did not need that root canal and saved my tooth and my pocketbook instead. From the minute I met him, he made me feel understood and accepted. I sometimes am embarrassed going to the dentist. Feel like I'm being judged or something. He truly made me feel very comfortable and trusting of his ability and his attitude towards me. So long story short; go!! He's a good one. It's always hard (at least for me) to go to the dentist. But at least here, the staff and the dentist go out of their way so you feel as welcomed and comfortable as is possible.

After years of searching for a dentist who is accepting new patients, I finally found Dr.Brooke at Dunedin Family Dentistry located in a new building in Palm Harbor. They could see me rather quickly for a new patient appointment and Dr.Brooke even called me personally the day prior to my first appointment which was a huge WOW factor! There was plenty of parking when I arrived and the building is so clean with such a refreshing atmosphere. They brought me to a consult room prior to my appointment to go over paperwork and address any concerns I had. This was yet another personalized touch of this experience. I then had pictures and X-rays complete, all of which were presented on a giant TV in the room. This felt a bit futuristic lol but Dr.Brooke went over each part of my exam with me before continuing on with the appointment. A few days later they were able to set me up to have my teeth cleaned with Lisa, who was so kind and took her time to again explain everything and prevent any discomfort. Overall this has been one of the most incredible experiences I have ever had with a dentist and I am so thankful a friend had recommended this practice to me.

Communication issues that have been a challenge for a year. I needed 1 implant and 4 crown…read morereplacements - total cost 24K. The implant failure was one of the most painful experiences in my life. I called the office three times to express the level of pain I was in. I was told it was to be expected for a month. One morning I woke up in agony and asked for a neighbor to drive me there, I called ahead and was told it was unlikely I could be seen. The pain was from necrosis of the bone and the implant has to be removed. I would love to be able to complete my treatment with Dr Little (a very kind and thoughtful dentist with great bedside manner). The scheduling is so complicated that my concern is needing to be seen and not having room in the schedule. I am afraid to go through a second try at the implant. It's a beautiful office, great teeth cleanings, great to have a cat scan on site, impeccable cleanliness. Front desk has been very difficult to work with. Trying to decide what my next steps will be.

Following completion of the crown I went to another Dental Business as the crown was not feeling right. The new dentist took X-rays and scans and showed me how the crown was not sealed properly. This resulted in a new crown being placed and of course the situation cost me double the money.

That's when dental healthcare took a back seat to upselling and corporate profits. The revolving door of talent was ridiculous. Older staff were replaced with younger, less experienced staff, many of whom seemed to be right out of school. Trombly fixed a front tooth; the next day, it needed attention. The office said they would attend to it when I came in to have the other tooth fixed. Similar complaints have been made at other offices where Trombly has worked. I had a crown installed, 211 days after I paid my balance (I have an 800+ credit score), I received a bill for $709.91 - no call, no explanation, just 'Here's your payment portal, pay up.' I am currently in a dispute, but because I pushed back, they terminated my patient status. Google search and background check Laura Lynn Etty Trombly...if you look close enough, what you find will be a tell-tale to why you SHOULD AVOID THIS DENTAL OFFICE. I called and they said yes they do take my insurance. I asked them more that once. They text me more my dental insurance card. I don't have a card and was never provided a insurance card. The dentist can look it up under my name. They never responded to the text that they needed more information. I go to the appointment. They need more information which I provided. I said I just want to make sure this will be covered. The receptionist said yes there will be no out of pocket. I do back to get started on the procedure. They said I would need new Xrays. I don't need Xrays the where just to put the temporary cap back on and I told them I just had xrays as well and I could email them. ( I just got them done last month). The receptionist comes back and says everything will be out of pocket. ? So they never checked my insurance to see if treatment was covered? I never seen the Dr. they came in the treatment room, The dentist assistant was very kind and understand. This is a Corporation owned. I would just make sure want the expense and coverage is. They clearly are not looking out for you or your wallet.

Dr. Dipiazza never introduced himself when he walked into the room where I was seated, I was trying to explain my emergency but he ignored me. He looked at the X-ray and a quick look at my tooth. He spoke to the assistant in a demeaning manner the whole time. I asked him a question to which he scoffed and left the room without saying goodbye. I wasn't sure if I was done and should leave. I asked the assistant if he was normally this mean, she was reluctant to answer but did say he was stressed with the patient in the next room. I mentioned the back office experience to the receptionist and was told again that he was stressed. When I mentioned that my tooth felt sharp, she said he could possibly file it down but to "hurry up before she (the assistant) cleans the room" that I had just come out of. Feeling like an inconvenience, I just left with a hole in my tooth frustrated. I ended up going to Walgreens to buy putty for my tooth and filled it myself. The receptionist defended the dentist and was overcompensating for his poor behavior. To me there is no excuse. Dentists should be used to stressful, complicated dental procedures. NEW (emergency) patients shouldn't have to get a negative reception for any reason. I cancelled my next appointment and received a call the same day letting me know my bill had been reduced. As if that was the reason, even though I voiced my concern about his demeanor while there. No thanks, I found a "normal" dentist who actually shook my hand, sat down and explained my options. Oh, and he also had another patient in the next room but he took the time to see me and make me feel comfortable. Gave me props on my self putty fill, too! The staff is amazing also!!
