Also all the tees needed pruning and there were several large brush piles that needed to be removed. I called Brad and he was able to get to the site quickly. He walked the property with me on the phone and detailed the work required. We agreed to a price and he actually started the work that day. I was not able to get down there until a few days later. When I saw the amount of work he had done I was very pleased. He had removed the downed limbs, taken out two large trees, removed all the brush piles, removed the dead limbs from many trees and removed the low growth sucker limbs from all my trees. There were huge roots visible on top of the ground that they left after grinding the stump. My yard was nothing to be proud of when Lumber Jack started, but they left behind huge holes that I have to repair as I begin working to get the yard into the shape I want it. I'm not sure if he cut corners because he bid the job too low (he told me he did), but that's his problem not mine. They work they do is good, but I recommend making sure they will do everything you expect. I'm a 70 year old woman, digging up approximately 6-8 inch diameter roots and filling holes with dirt to get the grass growing is not something I can easily do myself.

Don't pay until…read morethey are 100% done, because its impossible to get them to finish the job. 10 months ago our job started, and after months of no responses, we gave up and are going to try to finish ourselves. Longer story - We hired this company based on recommendations from our interior designer. Initial design went pretty smoothly, and ultimately their reviews were good so we moved forward. Work started in November and seemed relatively on pace. Then we saw some things being done opposite of the plan. So I went down to talk to the project manager (who had designed with us) and she was like "Oh yeah, I lost our copy of the plan so I was trying to do it from memory." That was our first red flag.... Along the way we ran into these issues: -Tried to put a gas line junction box in the middle of the small grass area in our back yard. When they easily could have put it somewhere else. Eventually after asking mulitiple times they moved it to part of the mulch area. -Our main feature was supposed to be a roaring fire pit. They installed a new product (unknown to us) that couldn't even stay lit more than 5 minutes with a barely visible flame when it was lit. We had to BEG, and ultimately get our lawyer involved for them to fix it. -Over and over they would promise they were going to come onsite to work towards finishing it, only to blow us off with no communication. -We were supposed to be "first priority to finish things up in the spring" but they would occasionally show up and do a few things before leaving promising to be back soon... This was a $30,000 project, and they never finished it. The only way we got it as close to finished as it is...we got our lawyer involved. If you're considering working with them, they'll be great during the design phase until you give them some money...then your project suddenly is the bottom of their list. Run away.

Half of the work was performed in late fall. The workers damaged sprinklers and landscape lighting. I asked Jake about this and received no response. We expected the rest of the work to be completed the following spring, with more projects to follow. Spring came and we never heard from Jake. We phoned, emailed, and text Jake at least 10 times over many weeks. He NEVER responded. In fact we were not able to get in touch with Jake or anyone at Tailored Landscapes. No one answers the phone and Jake's voicemail is "full". We finally got in touch with someone at their retail store in Bennett who was apologetic and promised to get answers for us. NEVER heard from anyone. We were essentially ghosted by this company after fulfilling only half of our project. No explanation whatsoever. Jake seems like a talented designer, but he needs help operating his business. I would strongly recommend anyone considering hiring Tailored Landscapes to consider other companies. They are not what they seem.

It's super important to double check this because many companies lied to me about it. Dudley was honest and very knowledgeable about giving me an estimate. The service of removing my huge 200 year old tree was a great success. They took it at a professional and strategically planned pace. The tree was cleaned out and removed. They returned everything to its original place and used advanced equipment to grind away the stump. The workers were polite and helped me move something around that n the backyard to clear a space for the falling tree parts. Very happy with the results and easy payment sent via text and paid for over quickbooks. I recommend their services!

The initial consultation to measure the flower beds was super easy and fast, they keep it all on record so this year it was a breeze to get scheduled. Everyone we interacted with has been incredibly friendly and helpful. We opted in for the mulch blower so we didn't have to lift a finger, it was totally worth the value. We had plants coming in already and even with the blower all of the plants were unharmed, are super happy and are growing like crazy now.
