I've been going to Tranquility for about 4 years now for my 4-year old cat, and the staff has…read morealways been pretty good. Dr. Antonelli (unsure if she is still there or not) was incredibly informative and has amazing bedside manner! My cat was diagnosed with a heart murmur at around 6 months old and the maintenance used to be fairly simple with a yearly ultrasound and daily meds alongside his yearly routine wellness check and bloodwork. That was more than fine, until about a year ago when I noticed the drastic price change. What once was a $900 scan visit turned into an $1300 visit for the exact same protocol and results. And not only that, within the recent year I feel the staff tried pushing the amount of recommended appointments to re-check his heart rate, which they could never get a solid read since I had a 45 minute drive and my cat hates the car and is usually stressed causing his pressure to go up. The staff would then explain to me how "it's totally normal", and would result in them recommending me coming back yet another time to try and get read. Even those quick visits and follow ups have gone up substantially in price. Personally I felt it was becoming quite excessive. Another occurrence that happened with a recent bloodwork appointment. I waited almost a week and a half for one of the new doctors who examined my cat to call me in regards of my cat's results. Concerned, I was playing phone tag most of the morning to connect with the vet and get the results. She finally got a hold of me and suggested that while everything is good and there was no change (good nor bad) to the murmur , it's "totally fine to up the scans to every 6 months instead of once a year". Right then and there made me realize that it was time to find another vet, as I was under the impression they were trying to bleed every last drop out of my wallet. Again, the vet care for the most part in my opinion was fine there minus a few hiccups. But with the outstanding price increases, I unfortunately had to find a new vet elsewhere.

One particular experience was when my cat Winston had a urinary blockage, which is deadly in male cats. He had to be hospitalized for 3 days before we could do surgery, which was all happening very fast, and during covid which made matters extremely hard. Once my cat was stable enough to have surgery Dr. Hallihan performed it after hours and released him to us well past 11pm. After transporting him to overnight care (he was in rough shape) he stayed a night there and we had him back home. Unfortunately he got an abscess under his stitches and had no choice but to rush him to an emergency clinic. We were being told the chances of him being able to survive a 3rd surgery should this one fail were slim. I spoke to Dr. Casulli and she treated me with the utmost respect even though my animal wasn't in her care. She made calls to see how he was doing, which she didn't have to do. They truly are the best, and they truly care. We get to see them all the time now because our man winston gets to get his urine checked every 6 months! (He hates us now but that's ok.) Aside from winston the care they have given our other animals, which are all under different accounts and different names within different households and they still no matter what know which animal goes to which household Thank you to all the doctors! Especially Dr. Casulli as she always gets the pleasure of getting my babies all healthy!
