The head of the Fort Smith education department called me personally to verbally attack me for attempting to obtain services for my nonverbal child. The majority of the staff was unprofessional, conniving, and difficult despite my efforts to get along with them. They allowed my child to be bullied and beaten by other children, and told me it was his own fault for being "too passive", yet a teacher accused him of strangling a child during lunch...something that would never have occurred. Even his teacher came to me and said she believed they were lying because they didn't want to watch an autistic child. My reviews have been removed and my attempts at reporting their behaviors were ignored by the fort smith public school system. I wish I could go back in time and take the idiots to court for their asinine behavior. Please think twice before sending your child to this school.
