A customer had left a message in regards to a leak in the basement, so since everyone was gone for the day, I sent everyone an email. That's what I told to do. Well apparently no one checked their email and Janice was furious because she said the problem could have escalated. Which in reality is true. I will say that. But, if you own a family business wouldn't you check your email regularly? At the end of our meeting in regards to the leak Janice told me that "it's not in my culture to understand insurance". Basically that it is not in my HISPANIC CULTURE to understand insurance so I obviously could not work there any longer. MIND YOU, I was 16 years old. I had only started working that year. MIND YOU it was 2006, but HISPANICS couldn't obviously understand insurance...it literally broke my heart to be told that. ESPECIALLY since alot of her clients were HISPANIC!
