This isn't really a reflection of the store or the staff, more my own personal relationship with paint given just how much painting I've done over the last 18 months+ renovating our house! We set up a cash account here after a few tradesmen recommended the quality of the paint. It's more expensive than the dulux paint you find in DIY stores but this is trade paint and is thicker / more pigmented - basically covers more square meters - so you should need less of it. Personally I'm impressed with the quality of the paint, both the matt & silk emulsion and their eggshell, they are easy to use with either a roller or a brush, giving great coverage and a true colour. One thing that annoys me is the price. We seem to be charged a different price for the same type of paint every time we go!! And even when we are buying a significant amount of paint (like £500 worth) they want to charge us for a £3 tester pot. Staff say they can't discuss the pricing on individual accounts as it's worked out on the computer, to me this is just poor customer service. Oh and you get Nectar points on your spend.

I knew what kind of photos I…read morewanted, and spent ages hunting around for that particular style of photographer (they describe it as fine art photojournalism, I call it natural-style photos!). They have lots of photos to check out on their website which reassured me that these were the people for me. We had a meeting with them in their house/studio in the Finnieston/Charing Cross area. They are a really nice pair who are friendly and easy to talk to, and we spent about 30 minutes talking over what Graeme and I wanted, and what they did. We booked them for our wedding not long after that, and paid a deposit to confirm the booking. We had another meeting before the wedding to run through the plan for the day, and then changed it the day before because the weather was going to be lovely. They were so easy to deal with about the changes that we didn't have to worry at all. On the day, they were amazing to deal with - professional, friendly and happy and they just got on with what they were doing without any bother to us. We had a small period for set photos we wanted with guests etc, and they were great at rounding everyone up. We got a link to the online gallery of our photos about 2 weeks after the wedding so we could order the ones we liked - it was really simple and straightforward. I can't remember how long it took to get the disc of photos (we went for a DVD only option rather than getting prints) but it was nicely presented in a black folder for us to keep. Our package was for 8 hours of photography with the DVD of photos and cost £950 - I've had a look on their website, and this is still their current price for that package. I really enjoyed having Alicja and Michael as our wedding photographers and couldn't recommend them highly enough.

The photos can be purchased in an album and disc or disc only. The shots are mostly in colour but some black and white shots are also taken. Mark the photographer is very friendly and obtrusive and is firm without being too bossy. The price structure is great and it is an affortable option for those who still want high quality photographs. Mark really did go the extra mile at our wedding and we really appreciated all of his hard work.

I used Loxley recently for printing out the photos for Yelp's Gallery of Glasgow. While I did…read moreconsider using a cheaper option, like Costco, Loxley's customer service and great looking prints won out. I was recommended to them by a friend, and I found their customer service whenever I phoned really helpful. They have a great website and ordering system which is really easy to use. When I placed the orders, I did it through a program called Loxley ROES which is free to download, but I now see they offer online ordering which looks like it would be even simpler. Their options for delivery are really good as well - Royal Mail, courier or collection from them in Cumbernauld. I did have a slight hitch with some Royal Mail postage but that wasn't Loxley's fault. And when the first photos I ordered were too low resolution, they phoned to let me know rather than post out sub-standard photos. I'd definitely use them for all my photo printing needs in the future.
