Dr. Pagano, Nicole, and the rest of the incredible staff at SCL Health-Aurora don't make me feel rushed when I am trying to say something. Most importantly, Dr. Pagano is more than competent. She looked at my lab work from before I was her patient, and saw a few potential health issues my previous PCPs had missed. She also doesn't try to get me to take extra tests or prescribe medication that I don't need.

I have had major withdrawals from not being able to get my medicine each month. I've missed a ton of work and missed out on big family events due to not being able to get them .Because it's a controlled substance they only give me one mo th at a time. I always gI've them 10 days notice when I'm going to run out. I leave messages, I talk to people at the front desk directly and It still doesn't get called into the pharmacy. This most recent time , I left a voicemail 10 days before my prescription ran out. Then I left another voicemail a few days later. this past Monday I called and spoke to someone at the desk. still nothing. I called again today and the lady says I need to be seen every 6 months to follow up on these meds . No one has ever told me that. It has been 6.5 months since my last visit . All the times I've called over the past 2 weeks and I'm just now hearing this? No call back, nothing. Keep in mind this is for narcolepsy and my follow up appointments take about 2 min because they have no idea what I've been through the past 10 years with this diagnosis. they aren't trained for sleep disorders. They charge an arm and a leg to say " how's it working" I tell them "great" and then it's over. $$$$$$ out the door for absolutely no reason. Do not go here. The lack of care for the individual patient is ridiculous. I shouldn't have to go without meds because they don't do their job correctly.

She is down to earth, patient, has a great bedside manner, and tells it to you straight. She was the only one who could help me at the hospital when I had some weird pregnancy complications. Clinic wise, the front desk staff at this location is friendly. In all my visits (there were probably close to 30) I only had a long wait one time and it was because the doctor got caught up with a complicated case. Front desk staff I have never had to wait to check in. Never had any issues with billing here. Nurses are great here. Would love to also switch to getting my PCP here but as with all practices the wait time for new patients is months out.

I love my doctor but I hate the office operations here. It's become nearly impossible to get an…read moreappointment with Dr. Lisa anymore, she has an odd work schedule to begin with but when I needed to come in last time for something pretty serious I would have had to wait two weeks for an appointment. The billing from this office has always been off, for example I would get a bill for a visit several months (more than six) after the visit in the mail for the portion which was unpaid by my medical insurance. The cost of visiting, despite having awesome insurance which doesn't even make me pay a co-pay to see a specialist is high; I believe because of some 'clinic fee' that my insurance refuses to cover. Because I liked my doctor I was willing to pay it until recently when I couldn't get in to see her and despite telling the front desk not to bill my regular insurance rather my auto insurance because my visit was for auto injuries, they still billed my regular insurance. Of course I was blissfully unaware until it was paid out so now I have to go through the hassle of trying to get money shuffled around that wasn't supposed to be paid in the first place because their billing personnel here is too incompetent to read the note on my account that says not to bill my normal insurance. Thanks for the extra motivation to find another provider! This would be a one star review if I didn't like Dr. Lisa so much.

Update 2023: OK, I'm back in Colorado and got myself a lil…read morebit of an upper respiratory infection so I called Miramont and they found a way to squeeze me in. While I had initially asked for Dr Lisa Hammond, they said she was booked but Dr Candice had a cancellation and was available to see me. My visit began with Nurse Rachel, who is super nice & friendly. We talked about my issues+asthma complications, she took my vitals and began swabbing me for Covid & RSV-super quick and painless and soon Dr Candice was in and talking to me about this "chest cold" and we discussed better, move proven, methods to combat my asthma. She did so taking her time, not rushing me at all, and I was soon on my way with scripts that she called in to my pharmacy. So very nice! Everyone here is so nice to work with. Thank you Alisyn, Netta, Rachael & Candice for helping me out today. I will continue to tell my friends just how wonderful you guys are! 2020: I simply cannot believe some of these reviews as I have been to this office twice in the past year and both times I was seen by Dr Lisa Hammond for allergies and both times had a wonderful experience! Both she, James and the gal at the front desk were extremely pleasant to work with and accommodating. Did I mention they also booked my appointment same day?! She never had flu shots, so we didn't approve the vaccine (made the visiting RN very unhappy. oh well). When everyone caught the bug, Miramont's protocol was homeopathic based. Our Mom was up and around, helping in the kitchen, folding clothes, etc. while other residents were flat on their backs for 10-14 days. 3 of our family took the same protocol and had little- to-no symptoms. Very, very happy with Dr. Bender. He gets a 5 STAR. #2 - My sister and I've left 3 messages at the Ft. Collins office for aesthetics. Not one return call. GIving up on the Ft. Collins office, we phoned the Parker office December 2024. My call to the woman who answered responded as if it my call was nothing short of an annoyance with her tone of voice and succinct replies. She transferred me to Aesthetics; the call disconnected. A second call and another long que. Press 2 option and you get "User mailbox is not available at this time". For an Rx, they'll handle your request in 2-3 days. Tried the other options, but mailbox not working or set up. Why give the caller options??? While Dr. Bender is great, his some of his team members are missing the boat. The voicemail and not having calls returned isn't what an owner of any business wants to risk, especially a medical practice.
