I used to love Dina. I've been going to her since 2010. Back then, you'd be able to walk in and get…read moreyour taxes done. As the years have gone by, she's grown through word of mouth and for the last few years you had to wait outside for hours just to get in and then sit for hours more on top of that waiting for your number to be called. It's not unusual to get there at 6am and leave at 3pm. About a year or two ago she implemented a new rule that you had to be one of the first 25 in line. So if you get all the way there at 6am and there are already 25 people in line, you're SOL. This happened to me once. At this point, I should've stopped coming. But she always got me an amazing return so I continued. Last year, she told me she was going to submit my return. For a month and a half I didn't receive anything so I checked with the IRS and they had NO RECORD OF MY TAXES. I text Dina asking about it. No response. 2 weeks later I check in again to which she simply responds, "Will be back on Monday." Monday comes and goes. No response. I check in again. I'm pregnant and due any day and at this point just want some kind of resolution. Plus I'd received another letter from the IRS. Dina doesn't respond. 4 days later I check in AGAIN. She doesn't respond for days. At this point I'm in the hospital because I had my baby, which I warned her was about to happen. In September, I had a question about how to change my taxes since I had a baby to which she answers immediately and cordially. I was considering going to someone new but after she was nice, decided to let it go. WRONG DECISION. It's tax time again and I called to see if I could make an appointment instead of wait in line because there's no way I can bring my 7 month old all the way downtown at 5am and wait for hours. I was told they have appointments now. Yay! So I confirm for March 21st. I should've known things would go wrong when I asked if it was for 10:30 and the response was "thank you." Um, ok. The next day I heard there was going to be a bad snowstorm so I text asking if they'd be open. No response. I try calling. No answer. The day of my appointment I text again. No response. I call and call. No one answers. I didn't want to risk losing out on my appointment so I rush to drop my daughter at daycare and go all the way down in the storm. I get to the office and it's dark with a closed sign on the door. I text that I'm there. I explain I took the day off of work and need to know if she is coming. No one ever answers me. I wait at a coffee shop just in case. Silence. TL;DR: Don't go here. Dina doesn't care about her customers.

I am so glad to have found this place. I came two weeks ago to have my taxes filed, which was super…read morelast minute considering how taxes were dued April 15th. I had visited several accounting firms before coming to this one; all had either refused to help me file my taxes due to how last minute it was or wanted to charge me an insanely high price (double to triple their usual fee). Anna, their main CPA, was more than willing to help me out without charging me a crazy inflated price. Due to the difficult nature of my return (which included several states, a company, some stocks, and foreign income), tax firms often don't know how to file my return properly. There would always be something wrong with my return and I would always have to request for amendments, which is time consuming and tedious. However, I was reassured by a staff member, Katie, that my return is in good hands since this accounting firm specializes in this type of return. I was told to "drop off" my documents and come back in a few days to pick it up with my return. At first, I was really skeptical about this because I had never done a "drop off" before. Essentially, I was to leave my documents with them until my return is ready for pick up. I usually have my return done in front of me and on the spot so I was a little nervous about it. And guess what? I worried for nothing! My return was done before I knew it and Katie was so kind as to explain to me why and how my return came out to be what it was. To sum it up, great customer service, cheap price for excellent quality work, and totally exceeded my expectations. Definitely going to have my company's bookkeeping and taxes done here too. 10/10 would recommend.

Carla is a very sweet lady who specializes in artists taxes. My initial assumption was that something might've happened to her, but seeing that she is posting on her social media is beyond infuriating. The only time this accountant as effectively communicated, was when payment was due, she wanted business or a good review on her site. I will gladly leave this exact review on Google, her site AND Yelp, with proof of text messages. I usually don't leave anything but this is people's businesses AND money.
