You can dine at Lunch or Evening meals and the lunch time is cheaper although they do not have their full menus to choose from. For the amount that you and your family/friends can eat the price is fantastic. I have found though that if you don't arrive shortly after opening you often have to sit and wait as it's packed. I have always phoned and prebooked a table though in the evenings to guarantee I won't be waiting around for a long time. The resturant itself is fairly large and it's decor is nice. The staff are friendly and helpful. Their food is top though, i would recommend to all.

They offer two different opening times; one for lunchtime and the other for evening meals. The lunchtime menu has less on offer but is cheaper compared to the evening meal which is nearly double the price per adult but alot more variety for the three courses of meals they have. It is advisable to book for an evening meal if you want a specific time as this can get busy especially at weekends. Lunchtime though I have never booked a table I just turned up and got a table straigh away. This is an excellent place to go for a cheap and very filling meal.

Being an Asian, it's kind of mandatory for us to visit the local Chinese restaurant. Oh wait we…read morejust like eating :-D. Whilst visiting Norwich, this is the place we settled down for food at 'pre-evning'. The outside looked pretty modern, as the name, Fusion, would suggest. The interior was nicely furnished, and we were greeted by [I assumed was] the boss. Taking in the baby into consideration, he gave us the choice of where to sit (although it wasn't that busy to be honest). As customary, we were asked what type of Chinese tea to drink, and we chose our usual 'gook po' (a Chrysanthemum tea). Still within the hours of serving dim sum, we order our usual, and two plates of meaty rice. The food overall was quite good, and my favourites were the: - Lotus bean paste bun - Char sui bun - Egg tarts - Roasted belly pork with rice I must say that the roast belly pork was very nice, with that extra crispy skin yum! The char sui wasn't up to standard though, and was quite dry. This, I'm assuming, the cut of meat that was used to cook it, but traditionally and the best char sui should be a fatty cut (for e.g. http://sg.entertainment.yahoo.com/news/best-char-siew-cuts-105315514.html). Overall it was a very good experience, and came under £40 for the 4 of us! Chinese food is always great for value and you'll be leaving with filled stomachs. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Riverbank Chinese Buffet Restaurant - Teppanyaki

Once again, sidelined by my inability to bypass a Chinese buffet at mealtime. Riverbank is a very…read moreshort walk from the Norwich railway station and is located in an area with several other restaurants and nightlife spots. Lots of neon in the window, there's no missing the purpose. Pay first (unusual for me) and then order drinks, which are brought to your table. The have a couple of beer selections and several spirits in a tree for accurate pours. I skipped both and they seemed to have no issue with a glass of tap water. At that point, I hit the lines. Reasonable selection of Anglicized Chinese entrees, including beef in black bean sauce, (yellow) chicken curry, vegetarian lo mein, spare ribs, maryland chicken, etc. Most were decent and not overly sauced or covered in batter. The lemon sauce and the sweet and sour are helpfully in separate trays so that you can bathe your meal to your taste. The highlight of Riverbank is their teppanyaki. A separate small buffet of raw meats (chicken, beef, prawns ("shrimp" in American) and pork) plus a selection of vegetables, you load it up on your plate and bring it to the special grill window, where the chef cooks it for you. It's almost Mongolian barbeque, but more like a stir fry. While the chef does the spicing and sauces, at least you get to decide on what you want in your mix. (Tip: the beef pieces aren't the absolute best cuts - go with the chicken or prawns.) Dessert is the usual for Chinese buffet - vanilla, chocolate or strawberry ice cream, some canned fruits and a chocolate sheet cake. Nothing very special, but it was sweet enough to seal the meal. A good option with set prices (I recall lunch is around £7 and dinner was £14) if you're looking to stuff yourself silly with a variety of flavors and textures. My Chinese craving was satisfied, I would return.

The soup was all but tasteless; the Beef Curry was at least 50% gristle (it's not nice having to extricate large gristly pieces from your mouth and put them back onto the side of your plate); the vegetables were over-cooked yet tough and the only choice was broccoli and carrot slices or mushrooms; the ice cream came in three flavours - vanilla, strawberry or chocolate and was not good quality. All in all a very unappetising experience. (Then of course - as predicted the vacuum cleaner was dragged out and started up at 2.55. Nice). Never again. How I miss the Malaysian Buffet Restaurant in Timber Hill. Now THAT was a lesson in how good that food can and should be.
