We were even more surprised when it came out perfectly prepared with all the authentic ingredients. The lunch specials are terrific value - you can have a smaller sized portion of anything on the menu for $10. We'll definitely be giving Win's Thai Kitchen another try next time we visit Coff's Harbour.

Formerly Gai Thai, this Vietnamese and Thai restaurant is conveniently located mere meters from the…read morehotel I'm staying at. Licensed, BYO, dine-in or takeaway. 10% off on all takeaway orders and you'll need it. The menu is overpriced and the food, I've eaten much nicer. My partners money bag entree was more like pan fried dumplings. Money bags are a favourite of his and our local Thai place puts these to shame. My fresh roll entree was a welcome light option but one was ripped. Served with 'hoisin sauce' which I can best describe as Shea body butter blended with nuts. My wonton noodle soup was served in two parts (we got takeaway) which is standard with some Thai meals. Whilst the wonton filling was very flavour some, the seafood that was supposed to accompany left much to be desired. One overcooked prawn and one piece of rubbery squid. The proximity to accommodation was our main reason for trying it and the 10% helped compensate for the overpriced menu, which still made it slightly more expensive than what we would usually buy back home which is much better quality.

On a Monday night the wait for a table was 45 minutes if you wanted to eat in, so that should day a lot. Our two pastas and cheese and garlic pizza only took about 25 minutes from ordering to ready to collect, which given the crowd was especially impressive. The food itself was AAA+. The crowd certainly were on to something!! If eating in I would recommend booking and even then be prepared for a bit of a wait, however if the food is half as good as what I received it will be worth every second.

When dining at Italian restaurants, I have my standard menu options that I enjoy and like to see the quality from each restaurant. The Garlic Bread and Garlic Pizza was cooked perfectly and was delicious. The Oyster Kilpatricks were "warm" borderline cold when they came out and the sauce they used was a little disappointing. The Veal was ok, but I wouldn't say the best I have experienced. My wife had the Risotto which had to be sent back to be cooked for a further 5 mins. The saving grace from this experience was the staff! They were fantastic from beginning to end. Nothing was an issue and obliged to help us with the recooking of the risotto. We didn't wait long to be served and the food was sent out within a timely manner despite the quality of it. While I say the food was average, this by no means is giving you the reader to look elsewhere. Maybe your visit will be better and I do recommend trying them out.

It wasn't the cheapest and the food, at least the take away just didn't live up to standard. The beef satay was sooo tough that I literally can't bite through, the chicken bad Thai was try and the beef pad see ew the beef also suffered from same toughness. The sauce didn't taste similar to the good Thai foods we had so I suppose it was quite localised as well. It's good enough if you wanted some Thai but not good enough to come again - maybe a one off unfortunate miss.
