Definitely a fantastic restaurant!
First things first. If you're afraid to go into an area where 80% of businesses have to do with sex, gambling or Döner and 90% of the population is from Northern Africa or the Middle East, then don't go here.
But you'll miss out on something!
The restaurant is on the first floor. Ambience is functional oriental. Music is oriental.
Service is super friendly.
The menu is not very long. Various dishes with lamb and some dishes with chicken. Softdrinks, water, tea and Lassi. No alcohol.
I decided on lamb with chickpeas. Simple, but as it turns out, absolutely delicious.
But before the lamb and rice are served, I get a basket with fresh baked flatbread, a mint- and a yogurt-sauce and a plate with a small starter salad. All spiced with herbs from the Afghan kitchen and very refined in taste.
Than the lamb and the rice. What can I say? Great taste from the beginning til the end. With this quality food, who cares that the water comes in a plastic bottle?
And then the bill. €11,80 for everything. Wow. Not just good and friendly, but very reasonably priced (not to say cheap) as well.
For some time now, I've adapted to a mostly vegan/vegetarian lifestyle and that means I wouldn't find much to eat here. But as I'm not 100% vegetarian, I will definitely come back. read more
