I came in because I had been feeling ill for several days. My regular doctor could not get me in for a few weeks. It turns out that I had a serious condition, and when I did not improve after a treatment, they called an ambulance to take me to the hospital. They explained that I couldn't drive (even as a passenger) because I needed to be treated on the way there. I ended up spending 3 days in the hospital. I am so thankful that they were proactive enough to insist I go to the hospital. read more

I called ahead to see if they'd be able to do blood work and an x-ray, if I needed it. They said yes, so I scheduled an appointment. The nurse practitioner who saw me, Jackie, kept interrupting me and I had to tell her to let me finish talking so I could explain what was wrong. She told me I could get an x Ray if I want, then she spent the next 30 minutes talking me out of gettin an x Ray (to which I kept just saying I would like to get one). She said they cannot do blood work there either. Complete false advertisement and waste of time. She referred me to the ER, which was not necessary. This is the second time I visited this location. The first time I brought in my 4 year old son. They also referred us to the ER. I did bring him to the ER, and it wasn't necessary. I'll never go to this clinic again. read more

On behalf of 2 of my friends who went here. Friend one had an infection in their kidney. Doctor starves them for 3 days and expected a stool sample. Wanted to try something else after that failed. That friend went to Georgetown. You know what they did? they treated them that day. Friend two had a collapsed lung from picking up an object too heavy. They opened up a hole to insert a device to help them breath. They installed it incorrectly. This caused the lung to briefly collapse. They tried fixing it. The lung got better, but then it was filling with liquid because they screwed up again. My friend went to Annapolis for treatment. He was better taken care of and made a full recovery. I almost lost two friends because Calvert is crap. Never mind their billing department doesn't know how to add. Don't go here. read more

Well, took my daughter here and the doctor diagnosed with "the common cold" and ended up in the emergency room being diagnosed with RSV. This is not the first time they have misdiagnosed and I will not be returning here. They do not even put proper instructions on prescriptions. read more

This location should be shut down. We booked our same day appointments, and had the option to register our information early to shorten the wait upon arrival. At no time were we informed of the $175 fee, but it was asked for by a rude receptionist before we were even allowed to sign in. (The receptionist took the clip board away from my fiance, and said he couldn't check in until she was paid.) Our information was registered, but we still had a long wait before being called back. Once vitals were taken, it was another 30 minutes before we were seen. My fiance was diagnosed with an infection, but not given any type of treatment or suggestions. It was like, "yeah, you're sick. What do you want us to do about it?" They never even asked his medical history, medications, etc. How can you properly treat someone you have no information about? I was seen by Jacqueline Runner, and she made sure I'll never return here. She was very hyper, in my face (think military Sargent, not close talker.) She talked so much about "other patients presenting the same symptoms," she failed to listen to mine. Long story short, without even an actual exam, she told me I had "allergies, (and was) wrong in marking so many symptoms (on my check in paper) when not all are present at the moment," and I was "too much because now (she) had to come back in and go over everything." As a provider, isn't that what you should have done in the first place? It was like I was a burden, not a patient. After that rushed appointment, I felt worse and went to the ER. I was diagnosed with a respiratory infection and stomach bug. Fluid had begun to build up. I couldn't keep anything down. I was so weak I needed help just moving around. Jacqueline Runner called this allergies. The ER said I was in danger, and it was good I hadn't waited longer to come in. The only sense of urgency here is the staff's need to be paid and go home as quickly as possible. Everyone working there should be ashamed. read more

I am giving it a star for the nurse who tried so hard to make my experience less disappointing. I arrived to this location about 20 mins before they opened and was told by an arriving nurse (the same one receiving the star) that they would be open shortly and to wait in the waiting room down the hall. I did and after nobody came looking for me, I decided to knock on the door and wouldn't you know it I was #9?! Anyways, the receptionist was training a new girl who apparently had no experience in etiquette regarding tone and pitch in such environment--particularly when asking personal questions. After I was checked in, the nurse took me inside for the pre-checking and such and told me that the doctor was running late. She also then and there advised me that the condition for which I was there was probably not going to get much attention because the facility does not have any lab/imaging equipment. This so called doctor finally arrives and start asking questions from across the room. He then proceeded to look in my eyes with a flash light from 10 feet away, told me to open my mouth and midway of me doing so he was already turning away. And folks, that was my exam for a diagnosis of a head concussion!! Duh, I came to see you because I have a huge bump in the center of my forehead from hitting it w the car door and that's your diagnostic? No prescription, no follow-up care, not even touching my skull for any fractures. One would think I had some sort of visible contagious disease that he was trying so hard to avoid. Bottom line, if that is the regular doctor on shift at this facility, do not waste your money/time. I ended up going to the emergency room the next day. read more

I've utilized this fantastic service several times and find that it is more accessible and convenient than making a regular doctor's appointment. The nurses are fantastic and do everything to make sure you're happy. The front staff is so friendly, patient and caring. And the doctors are wonderful. I've gotten in and out with a half hour before. Making appointments is a blessing and I absolutely love having care centers available. Beats waiting at the hospital for 4 or more hours! The centers free up the hospital for real emergencies and not just illnesses and injures that aren't life threatening, but need attention regardless. I cannot say anything but good things! I've primarily been to the PF location, but I have also been to Solomons. Both were outstanding. I'm so grateful that this is available! read more

This hospital has the nicest, most caring nurses I've ever met. I've been here for a few days now and have come across at least a dozen nurses and every single one of them has been attentive, compassionate and everything that I could have possibly asked for. The ER wait time was a little ridiculous, however, I did first go to two other hospitals to check the wait time and it was just as long. Shoutout specifically to Nurse Jess in the ER and Nurse Jeanette Owens on the post op/peds wing on the 3rd room. I couldn't have asked for better nurses and I'm very pleased with my experience. Took my five year old there 4 weeks ago for an injured thumb. They took X-Rays and said it was just sprained but we should follow up with ortho the next week. We did and found out that her thumb was broken and she was put in a cast. Fast forward to last Friday and my eight year old fell on the school playground. Took her here and again, X-Rays, diagnosed as a sprain. Followed up with ortho today to find out hers was broken in two places. We saw two different doctors for two different injuries and they both blew it! How can two medical doctors be SO bad at reading X-Rays? I am NOT impressed! read more

From out of town visiting and of course had to take my daughter in for a suspected UTI. They were very professional and polite from the receptionist to the nurse and the doctor. They were great with my 7 year old daughter and got us in and out relatively quickly. read more

My family has been here twice and overall it's a decent choice if you need medical attention. Yes, I used the word decent which means I think they have several areas in which they could improve. First, the good: The doctors here are very good and seem to know what they are doing. Both physicians have been very caring and engaged in a way that shows they are concerned about the doctor-patient relationship. Being associated with Calvert Memorial is also another plus. Location is easy to get to. Mainly it's the doctors that get my 3 stars. The not so good: They should just remove the word "Urgent" from the name. When you hear that word there is an expectation that if you have an unexpected issue, you will be seen quickly. Instead, you are seen in between people who have scheduled appointments. Not cool. I'm not trivializing those patients, but if you can call at 10am to schedule an appointment for after 5pm, your health concern probably is not "urgent." The hours of 5-10pm are not the best either. Also, in a strange twist, their privacy measures are odd. They will refer to you by number "for your privacy," but you have to register at the desk in an open space where everyone in the wait area can hear your name, address, telephone, reason for your visit, medications you are on, last 4 of your social.....etc. When I was waiting there this week, I heard it all and so did everyone else. But don't worry, when the nurse calls you back, you'll just be "patient 15." worst place ever. my daughter was not feeling well (who is also an asthmatic). i took her to this place and they looked at her less than 5 minutes and told me that they recommend that we take her to calvert memorial hospital. they think that she has an appendicitis. so we rushed her down to calvert memorial, who made her wait almost an hour in the waiting room, and finally they bring her back.. hook her up to a heart monitor, pulse ox machine and tell me that they are going to get her transported to children's hospital of dc.... for the appendicitis..that they were not equipped to handle a pediatric patient and they were not going to be able to diagnosis her..... so against medical orders i took her out of that freakin hospital.. took her to anne arundel medical center.. who diagnosed my daughter to constipation... !!!! no appendicitis.. they seen freakin $$$$$$ would not recommend my worst enemy to this place! read more
