History

Established in 2010.

After attending Horry-Georgetown Technical College and bringing home multiple awards for the school at the National AITP Collegiate Conference and obtaining 5 Microsoft Certifications including the Microsoft Certified Professional Certification I opened "The NMB Geek" and began offering IT services to local residential and small business clients. I have evolved to also be a web design and search engine specialist with national awards in AITP's Graphics Communication Competition.

Meet the Business Owner: Clint J.

My name is Clint Johnson and I started The NMB Geek in 2010. I have loved computers and technology in general since high school in the late 90s. We had a desktop computer with dial up internet access at my dad's business and I would play late into the night online. When something went wrong and I had to sit on the phone with customer support for hours trying to fix it I said, "Never again!". For quite a while computers were still just a hobby while I worked in the family business. I studied on my own and then the Cisco program at HGTC. I have my Microsoft Certified Professional along with 4 other Microsoft Certifications. I also have certifications for Google AdWords and CompTia A+. Opening my own business I have found I really enjoy helping local small businesses grow with technology and helping to keep my residential customers connected with current technology.

Clint removed a virus from my computer. I dropped it off to him mid-afternoon and it was ready for pickup before noon the next day. Others had told me they would have to wipe my computer and I would loose everything without paying an arm and a leg for backup and recovery. Clint informed me that if it was necessary he would let me know however wiping my PC would only be a last resort. Glad I found these guys! read more

After my heart calmed down at the thought of losing everything I hadn't saved (yeah, I know!), I hot-footed it to Google (on my phone of course) and looked up computer repair. A ray of hope! Computer Gurus was right down the road from where I work. I walked in, and was met by friendly folk, and left the laptop with them, and picked it up the next day. Turns out it was the battery causing all the heartache. I picked it up, and it was very clean, and all fixed up at a great price!
