We selected a nice marzipan-filled milk chocolate log kind of thing & purchased a decorative box to bring back for family The marzipan log was okay - the almond flavor was very subtle & I am thinking the dark chocolate would have been a better pairing.....and they had that on offer so I'll put it to the test next time The decorative box never made it to the family - I just couldn't resist the cute houses, doggies and foiled chocolates in both dark and milk varieties. They were absolutely scrumptious & the milk chocolates in particular just melted in our mouths If seeking some nice Belgian chocolates to bring back as a gift ( or to indulge yourself ) you'll find a treat at Jeff de Bruges

The hot chocolate is worth a try to warm you up. We were not lucky our last trip in the summer to visit them because of summer vacations (August France is off). However, if you are here Jan-July and then September-Jan you will enjoy your find. Everything is made onsite and beautifully packaged. I saw many regulars come in for there special bars of chocolate. A small box would make a wonderful gift and is under 15 euros. A cup of hot chocolate is 4 euros but well worth the price. Drop in and enjoy! The owner is super nice!!!

Otherwise, if you're like me, you'll peruse the chocolate offerings. I like their selection for several reasons. First, is the label variety. With label variety comes flavor variety. Each item is also carefully arranged helping the consumer make an informed decision. I'm not a native German speaker so I relied on pictures, percentages, and origin. I found two excellent gifts - a Dolfin variety pack and a 100% single origin bar from Ecuador. I was pleased with my purchases and hope the recipients are also.
