I have purchased a nice baseball glove/ball, tons of skirts and blazers, furniture, bags and kitchen appliances, box frames.. and everything is in great shape. The pricing is certainly affordable and on Tuesdays they even add an extra discount storewide. Staff works hard to keep the store organized and make sure everyone gets what they need.

So i am glad they have a store and i gladly support the cause!! Its located in Fairfield Shopping Center. They have certain days where seniors and police/fire fighters and etc receive discounts. The prices are mostly reasonable, but every once in a while you'll find a price that seems to much for a thrift store. But thats life i guess. If you keep your eye out they sometimes get really nice furniture sets on occasion. I always plan to stay at least an hour to rummage through everything. I'm nosey and don't wanna miss a thing. Lol. Its a pretty decent size store. I found a new bottle of Michael Kors perfume on my visit for $10. So i was happy about that. They also have alot of books if you like to read. Along the wall is household items and you can find just about anything over there, but ya gotta look!! The lines at times can get pretty long, so don't go at peak times if your in a rush. The staff here were very friendly and helpful and provided good customer service. Overall, the rows and shelves are well organized and they have A LOT of clothes and nice home decor items to choose from. They also had about 5-7 large kitchen appliances on sale, though they could use a good wipe down. People obviously donated their kitchen appliances without first cleaning the exterior, but it would look a lot more appealing to pick up and buy if they were wiped down. The furniture in the store is quite expensive considering it's second-hand, but I might just be too new to thrifting and that might be how most thrift stores price their furniture (each furniture item I saw, except for the chairs, was 115 and up.) The store has a good selection of small ceramic and glass kitchen items that are reasonably priced. I didn't find exactly what I was looking for on this trip but plan to stop in again and checkout the selection in the future.

This trip took me up St. Luke's, thanks to you lovely Yelpers! I ventured out on a warm summer day. South Norfolk is an older community and one that has struggled in the past. It's wonderful to see the efforts to spruce up the historic district, and the homes, while modest, are well kept and tidy. The shop is located in a long brick building. With decent signage. I wouldn't have identified it though without knowing it was there as the most prominent sign was for U-HAUL rentals ... which from a thrifters perspective might be good and also dangerous. Can't fit your treasures in your car? No problem. Parking was easygoing, free and close to the store. They have parking in the rear as well. This place ... it's a picker's delight. A wonderful jumble of stuff everywhere, sort of organized but also ... not. This is the shop for you if you like patiently digging through stuff. You will likely be rewarded- I know I was. Everything from housewares to clothes to shoes and furniture. Staff are lovely. There are mostly no prices so if you hate to negotiate, be warned. I didn't drive a hard bargain, because I could see this was a shop that actively supports those who are in need right there in their neighborhood. These are people looking to do good, not make bank. I will always give a little more when I see clearly why. Don't get me wrong - they still have me quite a good deal. I am quite happy with my finds. The next time I'm in town, I will definitely return.

I was told that the hours for having clothes reviewed were 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., so I rushed to…read morearrive before closing and got there at approximately 2:50 p.m. When I arrived, the counter clerk indicated that they were closing early. There was no prior indication that the review hours had changed, and I explained that I had rushed to get there based on the hours I had been given. The clerk agreed to allow me to leave my items and briefly explained the process. When I asked her to repeat the explanation, I realized that leaving the clothes would automatically indicate that I accepted their offer. I was not comfortable with that, so I asked to wait instead, which I was allowed to do. My clothes were then piled together, and I was offered $56 for approximately $400 worth of clothing. I asked how many items they intended to keep and was told nine. I decided to decline the offer and thanked the clerk for her time. At that point, she picked up the clothes I had carefully folded and shoved them back into the bag. When I later counted the items, there were actually 13--not nine. The entire experience left me feeling that the process could have been handled much more professionally and transparently. Clear communication about the hours, a straightforward explanation of the process, accurate information about the number of items being accepted, and respectful handling of customers' belongings would have made a significant difference. I understand that a business is not obligated to make an offer that a customer considers satisfactory, but I do expect honesty, transparency, and professionalism throughout the process.

In the back there are a bunch of antique glasses (think drink ware) as well as a kitchen area and then a huge section with a wall full of pyrex glassware. I found some cute little rose salt and pepper shakers for $8 and the day we were there (a Saturday at noon) there were vendors set up out front displaying items and sales throughout. If you like looking for vintage or antique goodies - this is a great spot.
