I was called in to a " Care Meeting" for my partner who had been there just a week after a brief…read morehospitalization. I was told it was an important meeting to discuss his medical care plan and future needs. The head nurse could barely speak English, and the nursing staff was equally linguistically impaired, the main staff member was looking for him to increase his insurance, the OT person offered nothing about his progress and spoke for the PT person who was not even there plus his social worker was absent. The PA was great and was reporting improvement and working hard to reduce his pain but this overall care here seems quite poor, ill managed and disorganized. They hardly read his chart upon arrival and missed important care markers like his cancer care regime. I basically learned little about his progress or what a care plan would look like for him, except more tine on his back in bed. Little was discussed about customizing care for him just his length of stay. One size fits all! They are only trying to manage his most pressing symptoms and that success seems minimal. I thought he went there to get stronger so he could come hone in better shape. This is not what's happening.. I was completely disappointed in the care or lack of care he is getting. I was made aware of their low ratings and now I understand why and I do have a lot of experience in caregiving and medical training.

They don't accept most Medicaid, so we're willing to cash pay, otherwise this facility is inaccessible to most low income families without our resources which is unfortunate. Here's the kicker, my husband and I out of desperation literally created a treatment plan via AI and now our daughter is stable enough to resume school and work which was free. Go figure.

The smell was horrendous, it was dirty & if you needed a shower or bath hopefully you have someone to speak for you or you will stay dirty. I have at least 3-4 pages that I wrote after my Mom passed away regarding the care she received in this nasty place. So if you do not have to send your parents, grandparents, relatives, family or friends to a rehab/nursing home I highly suggest putting them somewhere else because they should NOT be put in a place like this! My Mom did not last all bout a week here & I had her rushed to the hospital, where she was very ill with a high temperature & not one of the workers that I asked would go in & help her, so I took it upon myself and called 911. When they arrived and asked one of the workers my Mom's vitals, this being around 7PM at night, no one had taken her vitals. The ambulance driver's were not happy at all & told me they get this from this place all the time and do not like it one bit. So after being rushed to the hospital my Mom had a temperature of 105 which was a Monday, by Wednesday they told me she had mercer in her blood and that Sunday she passed away. A few months later we found out the lady that shared a room with my mother had also passed away from mercer..Shame on you for letting this place be so filthy rotten...A dump in deed..Keep your parents home instead of sending them to a place like this...
