After checking out the final job, I told my husband this is who I wanted to trim our honey locust. They will come out and look at what you want done and provide a written estimate along with a drawing on exactly what they suggest. When the crew came out the first time a few years back, we talked about one limb. They suggested just leaving on until the end so I could decide - since once can't glue it back on! This helped me a lot on what to do. They just don't go to town and cut up the tree as I have seen on ALOT of job. Just had them out again to trim up the same tree. I was given an estimate for removing and stumping a tree. While removing branches above my pole…read morebarn and shed a branch was cut by the company owner , Owen and while falling to the ground the branch went through my shed door I recently had painted and covered with metal siding . After several branches were cut the owner ,Owen asked if it was ok NOT to finish the job stating the tree was too difficult to cut!! What tree removal company quits half way through the job citing it's too hard to cut?! The deal was he would repair my door and charge half of the agreed estimate , since he didn't want to finish the job. In addition , several large oil stains from his truck were left for me to power wash taking me three hours . The door was repaired but would not open or close . When I notified Owen I needed to get my mower out he stated he would be out the next day to fix . A week later he still hasn't shown up, so I ended up fixing it myself . I wanted to give this young company an opportunity to get his business to grow, turning down two matching bids from more established companies. I was left with half a tree remaining , oil stained driveway and a broken shed door that didn't function after the owner "repaired " it. I would not recommend this company. See attached photos. I know nothing about Tawa Tree and Lawn Care Services other than the experience I had with one of…read moretheir employees today. I work as a traveling salesman, covering much of Northern Ohio. Today, I was in Findlay, Ohio. I was on my route on Main Street, where parking is more difficult since the downtown area of Findlay has undergone a major facelift. Lucky for me, I found a parking space directly in front of my account, so I put on my turn signal, and pulled forward and next to the car in front of the empty space so the truck behind me would know I was going to be backing into that parallel parking space. I waited for a moment to allow the pickup truck behind me to go around me before I backed up. The pickup truck was owned by Tawa Tree and Lawn and driven by one of its employees. The employee had his 12-15 year old daughter in the passenger seat. Since the truck was not passing me, I proceeded to back into the parking space. I didn't do a very good job of backing in so my front end was sticking out into the street. I waived my hand to the Tawa employee to go ahead and go around me, but he didn't move. I assumed he didn't see me, so I rolled down my window and waived him forward. Rather than pass me, he pulled up next to me and said, "When did you become the police? I'm so sick and tired of people like you who think they can get away with bullshit like this and not have any consequences. What's the matter? You can't park your little toy?" All this in front of his daughter. I didn't call him an asshole as he claims I did. I simply said the word, "Asshole" to myself as I ignored him and went about my business. Moments later, this man walks INTO MY ACCOUNT and starts yelling the same absurd nonsense about how sick he is of people like me "doing things like that" and "getting away with it". This man parked his truck somewhere down the road, proceeded to stalk me by going in and out of all the businesses up and down Main Street until he found the one I was inside, and then proceeded to come INSIDE this business and cause a scene in front of my customer, and HER customers and staff. There were three women inside this business who were terribly shaken up because of this loose cannon. After yelling at me for several moments, I asked him to go outside. I followed him as far as the front door, and as soon as he got outside, I shut the door on him. He proceeded to come BACK INSIDE and start his rant all over again. We went outside again where he accused me of calling him an asshole because "he could read my lips". Well, guess what, buddy? You are an asshole. What else do you call a person who behaves the way you did today? I called and spoke to his boss who seemed to care less about this matter. He said, "Well, that's one side of the story." I'm sorry, but what part of the other side of the story do you need to hear? The part about me being lousy at parallel parking today? The part about me not engaging with this guy? The part about this guy hunting me down? The part about him coming into a business that had NOTHING to do with his hair-trigger anger issues and making three women fearful? The part about wearing a shirt with your logo on it and how badly that represents your company? The owner of the company said he'd call me back and let me know what he was going to do. I don't suppose I'll ever hear from him. You can expect to hear from me again.
