They don't concentrate so much on console sales, but have a selection of second hand retro consoles. The prices vary from cheap up to insanely expensive compared to some of the more mainstream games shops. All the times I have been in, it seems to stock far more rare games, and limited edition consoles, which isn't cheap, but if you're a collector then its great. Chips is usually a quiet shop, but I tend to avoid shopping when the shops are busy seeing as i'm a student and can shop outside of weekends. Overall, chips is a friendly place to shop, but if you're looking for a mainstream game, or a new release, then you are probably better of going elsewhere to find it.

Game isn't the cheapest store it's more expensive then GameStation and Grainger Games which are cheaper for new and used games. The staff are quite pleasant although I had one problem during January with a price sticker on 2 games I was buying saying 2 games for 30 which they wouldn't sell me them for that price as the offer had ended they should removed the sticker which they didn't.

It has a basement section with all the genres of DVDs plus less popular music genres e.g. classical, opera, jazz, country etc. The entire selection of sale DVDs and CDs are on the main floor along with the more popular CDs (pop, rock, metal, rap etc.) and the gaming stuff. I always find that the music is too loud in this store which makes it difficult to hear the staff at the till but they're always friendly. There always seems to be a security guard at the door which unnerves me even though I'm a law-abiding citizen! Overall, it's a tidy store with some great prices in the sales.

The displays seem to be well organised however there are too many categories. The shop itself is starting to look a little tired.However the aisles are wide and gives adequate room for people to pass whilst you browse. The staff are very helpful and I have always had the best help when I have struggled to find the item I was looking for. They have more DVD's and CD's really. They also have a selection of TV's, some flat screen, some not. They have a cabinet of second hand games consoles, video cameras etc, all reasonably priced, but not the best selection, though I suppose thats down to what people bring in to sell. This store does carry a pretty large stock range, all kinds of toys and games, including computer games and consoles. They also have a section called Babies R Us which is given over to baby equipment (I know, quelle suprise!) like cots and car seats, baby clothes, nappies etc. I do like Toys R Us, they have loads of stuff to choose from. On the downside, however, it's almost impossible to find a staff member out on the shop floor (except for in the computer games section) if you need help.
