I came to this location twice before and was not satisfied and really debated on whether or not I should chance it again today. I did, only because it was the closet location to my job and I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt - maybe I caught them on a bad day before. Unfortunately not as good of an experience for our Celiac child as someone else mentioned. Staff was very rude and seemed extremely put off by our ask to change gloves after we came to the counter and the team member had her hands directly on the flour tortillas. She then reluctantly changed gloves, tearing the new ones in the process and then made a huge deal about having to change gloves once more. Proceeded to make a big show of being annoyed throughout the entire process of making the order. After getting the food, went to the bathroom and the toilet was overflowing (and not with clear water..). Any time we do a pick-up order it's a big pain, they don't have the pick-up shelf oriented facing the customers, they keep it by the register forcing the customers to cram into a little corner and get upset when you try and peek around to see if your order is one of the bags on the shelf (they keep the names / receipts facing inwards). Not sure why they can't do a standard pickup like the rest of the usual Chipotles. Finally, the quality of food her is just sub-par. Always feel like I get the bottom of the meat tray, just dry, or fatty or burnt meat portions. We now typically go to Vernon Hills which is much better run, and my family can actually tell the difference in pick-up orders, they don't even need to see the receipt to know if the food came from Lake Bluff or Vernon Hills. Unfortunate that this location is so poorly run, I'd love to support the local spot, but the way this store is run and the quality of service and food is just not something we can support. read more

Walking in I could immediately hear the music from the kitchen over the music in the lobby, which is a problem. Having to yell my order over the glass partition is something I did not enjoy. Even by yelling, the employee making my order had to ask me to repeat myself. Moving down the line, it's like the employees were told to salvage as much product as possible. Asking to have extra of every item I got should raise some flags (red ones). I didn't want extra, I just had to ask for more to get somewhat of a normal portion size. When it came time to check out, there was an older gentleman in front of me who asked for a military discount. The cashier looked confused at this request and turned to ask another employee, who was mid conversation. This second employee seemed annoyed she was interrupted and immediately stated "we don't have that", which is false. The lobby representatives the restaurant as well as the employees did. This specific chipotle is a dumpster fire and an utter disgrace to the chipotle enterprise. Not only are the portions measly and the building disgusting, but the employees show no desire to work or have empathy for customers. The first thing I saw when entering the building was the disgusting spillage of food on the tables, and the general must of this place. It looks like the employees don't have a care in the world whether this place is clean or a pigsty. Don't get me started on the employees, who always have a certain sass and attitude about them. I don't want to make the few guys and girls who are awesome look bad, I'm speaking specifically about the downright assholes. The lady with the nose ring in particular does NOT know how to handle customers, and should find a better job that doesn't involve customer service.
