My friend Taylor and I walked in on a Wednesday evening in July around 8 p.m. and got a small table near the bar. Here's our experience. 1) Food: The cod tongue was the best dish of our trip according to my friend. The two sauces it comes with were unique and brought out the taste. The mushroom pasta was tasty as well. The noodles were a tiny but dry, but overall good. 2) Drinks: We ordered their two sours and enjoyed both- a raspberry and a blueberry one. 3) Service: Our server was quick and personable. He had a good energy about him. 4) Space: It's in an old building with beautiful decorations, lights, and atmosphere. The restrooms come with toothpicks, floss, and mouthwash. 5) Area: The little bay in Quidi Vidi is beautiful with a number of shops around it. If you want a nightcap, walk to Quidi Vidi Brewery for their sour ales and iceberg beer. There are a few small lots to park nearby, but they fill up fast.

Also many thanks to the staff for accommodating our request for a slightly different chair which made such a difference to our comfort. They really do some innovative things with both the food and cocktails here. It really was a great experience. Definitely a special occasion spot! We probably overdid it on the amount of dishes, but it was seafood season, so we could not help ourselves. We shared everything. The lobster was a particular fave, as was the crab cake. But the halibut and mussel salad were also great. Modern vibe. If you end up in the middle of the restaurant you may end up looking into the kitchen. Wonderful dining experience. Would have rated 4.5 stars if I could.

I had walked by numerous times and found it odd but respectable that it was always closed during the day and only opened at 5pm. When I went to enjoy a supper with my parents one holiday evening, the interior was decorated nicely and had really kind service. I ordered the Pork Milanese ($28) which was a battered pork loin with creamy gnocchi noodles and mushrooms on the side. The dish was incredibly filling, but it did keep me wanting to continue picking at each noodle after I was already full. The pork had a lemon on this side to give it some extra zest. My dish was good, but my mom ordered the Chicken Parmesan which honestly looked and tasted better than mine. I also attached a picture of it as well. This place didn't have too many entrees to choose from but the chicken was great, and the pork was good. They have many pizza options, but I am not the biggest fan of fancy pizza so I personally would not come here for that selection. From what I ate though, I'd give this place a solid four for a kind atmosphere and filling meal.

We looked at the menu on Yelp and the brunch menu looked very good. We arrived at this cozy restaurant (I think it was built in a house) and were greeted with a friendly server. We started with a very good cup of coffee. From the choices on the brunch menu I took the skillet: hash brown potatoes topped with eggs, cheese, mushrooms, onions and bacon with hollandaise sauce. Every bite was perfect. I even took the traditional toutons on the side. My boyfriend took the traditional breakfast and fell in love with the peameal bacon. The server always made sure that everything was ok and that our coffees and water were refilled. I recommend this place for brunch, but apparently it's even better for dinner!
