Service was delightful enhancing the whole experience. And then the food lives up to the high expectations the atmosphere sets. Friend and I shared the goulash that was on special and some cheese/cream soup. Our waitress thought we were a bit crazy, but the spätzle that came with the goulash was amazingly delicious in the soup. The ox meat in the goulash was super tender and accompanied by tasty peppers. But the real star of the meal was the beverage. Also a special, they were offering a cocktail with their homemade apple liquor and bubbly. Um, yes please! Damn it was good. Friend and I each had 2 and could have happily stayed there all afternoon consuming many more.

Many of the outdoor seatings in other restaurants were booked or the service was very slow. They have an extensive menu and our choices were either amazing or meh. It always depends on what you order ;-) My "Flammkuchen" was not great, very dry and nothing special as was my friend's fried potato something (can't remember the name, but it was small and strange). The husband had a burger and fries and they were amazing. What really stood out was the super friendly lady who was our server. She was fast and smart and funny and gave us the feeling that we were welcome there.
