As a long-time Yelper, I always try to give local spots the benefit of the doubt, but my experience…read morewith Hop Poh yesterday was completely unacceptable. I picked up two combination platters and a additional pineapple fried rice. When I got home and opened everything up, I realized one of the platters was missing the fried rice that was supposed to come with it. Mistakes happen, so I called the restaurant directly, expecting an easy resolution. Instead, I got met with denial. When I explained that my order was missing the rice, the employee on the line brushed it off and claimed, "Oh, well, we didn't charge you for it." That was blatantly false. I added it up, and I was absolutely charged for the two full platters. When I corrected her and pointed out that I did pay for it, the phone just went completely silent--no apology, no attempt to make it right, and no refund offered. At that point, it wasn't worth my time to argue back and forth over the phone or drive all the way back. I'll take the loss, but they have officially lost my business.
