Not sure how long it has been open but they are clearly taking good care of it and it looks new. I also appreciate how little the noise carries between the rooms. I recently saw a small group of younger guys going into to the room right next to mine and thought- great, I'm going to have to listen to them until all hours. Nope; barely heard a sound. I've not had breakfast, but have appreciated the small market space having a few decent items as I am typically arriving around midnight. The late night front desk guy, Nicolas was kinda amazing. He really made sure I knew everything he thought I might need to know: Breakfast, market, amenities they have on hand if I forgot anything... And super happy. What a breath of fresh air after a very long 7-hour drive from Atlanta. Thanks Nicolas! Hope to see you there next time.

The normal amenites of wi-fi, flat screen TV, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and even a pull-out bed were included. They were very gracious with out late check-out due to the fact that we were out late at the wedding reception, as well. If we ever need to stay in Deland again, this will definitely be where we'll choose again!

I love it even more than my bed! It is truly divine. The bathroom was nice and big! I love the claw foot tub. I didn't get to experience it but I'm sure it's wonderful. The shower pressure was a little on the lower side. But hey, nothing is as close to perfection as this place. I highly recommend this lovely hotel.

I will update if this changes through my stay. My first stay was quite horrendous to say the least. Let's hope this stay is a lot better. Update: as I wake up in the morning and go to make my morning cuppa coffee, the Keurig doesn't work. Now, coffee is my life as stated on my page. I don't know what to do with myself as there is nobody working in the front desk, quite literally there is a sign. Disappointed in that. I went to go take a shower and my options were either scolding hot or freezing cold. So I awesomely got to choose between the two. That was pleasant. As stated in one of the pictures you can see that some of the paint is faded in a couple different areas in the room and the wood is showing underneath. Just some basic light maintenance needs to be tended to. And the lightbulbs need to be checked out before customers come into the room. Other than that, I am happy with the aesthetic of the junior suite. It is roomie and nicely decorated. I like the fact that the living room is sectioned off from the bedroom. Makes it feel like you're in your own little apartment versus being in a hotel. They seem to have made some upgrades since the last time I had stayed here. In the bathroom, they have amenities that they did not have before. So kudos to them. Now let's see how the rest of my stay goes! Oh, and Lindsay who works the front desk, rocks!

But this place is definitely falling apart, holes in wall, patches and paint that doesn't match. Didn't realize they allowed pets, room next to us dogs kept barking. The wall facing outside must not be sound proofed at all, someone 50 feet away talking and closing car doors could hear like they were in front of our door. They give you breakfast, well I wouldn't call it a breakfast.. refrigerated pancakes and pouches of oatmeal. As we are walking from "breakfast there's a guy standing in the parking lot staring at the sun that was half way up, no blinking! It was weird. I would recommend some revamping if they're going to continue to charge what they do. Wasn't worth half the price. Also tv is way too small for the size of the rooms.

Nothing is nice. Everything is dated and old. We had to switch rooms bc there was drywall mud all over the walls & curtain in the original room. The pillows are all so worn & old, imagine going to stay at your great great aunties house and she pulls old pillows out of her hallway closet. There were NO amenities. NONE.I found out there was no conditioner in the shower container after I wet my hair. There were no bags or liners in the trash can. We were denied having the room cleaned and the bed made on day 2 bc this "hotel" only changes your sheets or takes out the trash on stays longer than 3 days. (WTAF?) There are no microwaves in the rooms. Only a "shared" microwave in the lobby. Now, who wants to see my 3/4 naked Big Man going from the 5th floor to the lobby at 1:30am to warm our burrito? The "breakfast" option is literally a Starbucks. A very simple under stocked Starbucks. Breakfast for (2) was $35.00 DAILY. Your options are (1) food item & (1) drink item. That is RIDICULOUS. Parking is NOT free. This place charges $11.50 daily for parking. (Jeeezus). I booked this place bc it's right in downtown DeLand. The location is NOT worth the price. This tall motel is lacking in so many areas. I will say, the cleaning staff is failing.

The pillows were quite old and lumpy. The worst was the cigarette smell which wafted in the room from the outside. The porch which wraps around the building is dotted with chairs & tables. Each table has an ash tray which is full of cigarettes. There appear to be people who live there, and they smoke quite a lot. The interior of the room was painted and decorated quite nicely, however the floorboards under the air conditioner were water-damaged. The Inn is elevated, so you walk up steps or a ramp to the first floor. Both the steps and the ramp are badly in need of refinishing and repainting. I was escorted to my room by the manager after checking in. I realized then I really didn't want to bring much into the room, as it had an off scent. Their website states they clean the rooms, but "time has its own fragrance". I've been in buildings much older than this one, & experienced the fragrance of time in a well-maintained historic building. This was not it. I realized after I left the next morning that the room smelled of cigarettes. I had to wash everything I brought into the room, including my purse. I use a c-pap, and had to change to a new hose as soon as I got home. If you, like me, are a non-smoker, do not stay here. If you are concerned about bringing cockroaches home with you, do not stay here. This is definitely not a 3-star hotel. I've stayed in 3-star hotels. Believe me when I tell you, this doesn't come close to a 2-star hotel. Maybe 1 star. Maybe. Whoever rated this hotel needs to do a return visit and readjust the rating.
