I was stupid enough to go still with stupid long nails, so as a little point i'll say maybe don't do that yourselves to make the most of your time £10 for a day pass (I think 8 for members maybe?). There's a little cafe with cake, toasties, hot and cold drinks (soy etc available), basic changing rooms, loos, car park, and they do hold classes too. They provide little chalk bags, and let you get on with it on a range of colour coded courses, downstairs, and the small upstairs. The crash mats are generously deep and squishy, and there are some good challenges to get your fingertips stuck into. It was cold, which is the nature of the building, so i'd advise a hoodie you can take off once you're into it in the winter. I don't know how warm it gets in the summer months.

The walled garden is always a joy to walk around, even if it is impossible to avoid the noise of the motorway that lurks just over the wall. It is really cheap to visit (£1.75 for adults, £1.25 for kids) and it makes a fun way to pass a Saturday afternoon. Just watch out for the moody peacock that patrols the farmyard, that dude has an attitude!

Let's be honest, from where I live, in Walsall, I have the whole Sandwell Valley area just around the corner and I'm glad to have some many different attractions (30 or or even 15 minutes, far from my house) to choose and go! Sometimes for free or sometimes for a very cheap admission like at Sandwell Park Farm. I simply can not believe that for only £ 2 children or adults have this very educative experience and a lovely time out! No excuses to stay in your won back garden during the summer, by the way. Sandwell Park Farm is a children friendly point, obviously. Cattles, sheep and other animals that we usually see only, from our cars, when we take the motorways straight to the countryside! It's also a huge are for a good picnic. Kids love and adults learn!

It is actually fairly small and so can get fairly crowded at weekends and durin the school holidays. There are seperate areas for over and under fives and free squash for the kids . The party area is very small and i really would not recommend this. I once went to a party that they had double booked and all the parents and kids had to traipse into the attached pub for the party food. Because the pace was packed we had to stand in the aisles watching our children eat while other diners gave us dirty looks!!! Not fun on a saturday afternoon i can tell you. It is worth going to todler time during term time though as the entrance fee is a little cheaper and also parent/ carer gets a free drink and there is hardly anyone there. So you can take a book or watch the big screen tv while your child is occupied and happy and you can enjoy a bit of R & R. Parking is great and for those parents needing the support of an alcoholic beverage prior to any type of kids activity, the pubs next door.
