It's located in a hotel, which normally isn't my thing but I feel like some of my favorite bars in Spain are connected to a hotel. The vibe is classy but casual, kind of a throwback to a vintage era. The vibe was nice, not too crowded at the time I went (6/7pm). Cocktails were great! Fun, specialty cocktails created based on the different regions of Spain; but also the classics available on the menu. In typical fashion, servers brought me some little snacks with my drinks, which I enjoyed as I people watched and hung out. Located in a cute area with additional restaurants, bars and points of interest nearby. A must visit when in Valencia.

We were there mid-afternoon and they weren't busy. Service was ok. Ambience must have looked better in the 1950s. (I'm guessing it looks better at night.) Agua de Valencia was perfectly fine but not life changing. It was nice to sit down for and take a break from touristing.

They weren't just bartenders to me, they were friends. Even if I were just passing by, Salvatore and Sandra made it a point to say hi. It made me feel comfortable and at home in a city I had lived in for only mere days (I am American). Oh yeah, their drinks at great. They have a terrific selection of cocktails that they make with care and expertise. They take pride in their craft while maintaining an atmosphere of friendliness. It truly is a great place to grab some drinks and make some friends. I would recommend it to anyone, and I hope to be back in Valencia soon to be back there. Mi pub favorito en España. Durante mi visita de dos meses, visité a varios bares buenos, pero la atmósfera y los camareros en ROA era lo mejor. No solo eran camareros, sino amigos buenos.

Only 15€ for entrance includes a drink. * This was our 7th visit here over the years, always bringing along guests that may be visiting. This year we do not have visitors but we had a great time at our front row table of 5. We sat with a lovely Turkish/Kurdish couple and a sweet young woman from Kviv Ukraine! All strangers when we sat down but left feeling like once again, we have new friends. All over the magic of FLAMENCO! * Tonight we were treated to the amazing Flamenco dancers, Irene de la Rosa & Rosa Sanz (we have seen each perform in different venues in Valencia), the stunning voices of Javier Calderón & María Briones and wow, Manuel Reyes on his magical guitar! Can you believe they perform four nights a week. Thursdays through Sunday. I think we can all say that Flamenco should be woven into our fitness routines! To be able to move and sing like this, the passion is so intense. Absolutely LOVE IT! * And the staff at the door and serving are so friendly and kind. We had so much fun picking out special Christmas treats from a tray of goodies being passed around. The lady at the bar was a sweetheart and we loved visiting with her after the show (thank you for your kindness since we have very poor Espanol). * Thank you all for keeping this Spanish tradition alive and offering it to all of us to enjoy a piece of your history. Decorated from a time long ago with a laid back atmosphere. Open late -3 am. They offer a light Breakfast and some Tapas but the main draw is their Orange Liquor drink (Aqua de Valencia) as well Cocktails. Tea, Coffee and desserts are also options. First visit sat outside and had a Majou. Tasty local Lager. I was curious about the Grand Mariner coffee. Turns out it doesn't have Grand Mariner in it and so an orange aromatic coffee. Strong with a hint of Orange. I liked it. Second visit I ended up sitting inside as this Hostess said you have to have a party of 4 to sit outside. Different Hostess new rules. So I took a seat inside and ordered a Cappuccino and the recommended Chocolate Rum Cake. Dense cake with just a hint of Rum-delicious. Capp was also tasty. They only sell their Agua de Valencia by the Jarra (pitcher) so I got a shot to try which was a nice touch. Similar to a Mimosa but less bubbles. Since they weren't as busy & tables were open I ended up moving outside for a Beer. Service was hit or miss and can be slow depending on how busy they are. Once they got to you it was fine. Good spot to enjoy cocktails and gaze at the eclectic decor.
