Went to Chilli's with my daughter. It was wonderful. We sat by the bar area because they were a bit busy, but that didn't bother us too much. We started off with the bottomless chips and salsa (the guacamole was not bottomless). I really liked their salsa which surprised me a bit. And let me tell you that their chips were fresh! My daughter had a Bloody Mary. We also ordered off of the two for $22.00 menu. My daughter had the steak, garlic mashed potatoes, and broccoli. She loved it. I ordered the 1/2 order of ribs, falling off of the bone, and great barbeque sause. My grandbaby stayed safe and ordered the mac and cheese and we shared an order of french fries. The service was good but a bit slow for us and hectic for our server. Our only complaint was that the Bloody Mary was nasty. Funny how our children need to be taught that it is ok to send something back that you do not like, I practically had to force her to just send it back. I explained it is all in the way you do it. I would definitely come back here again. I want to try their mango chicken dish, it sounds delish! If you are coming on a weekend it would probably be a good idea to call ahead to secure a table. read more

I would give this place a Meh Ok-Ish, so really a 2.5 stars. I love Chili's and I typically go to the one near my house at least twice a month. I came here with friends on Friday it was a little busy so we placed our names on the waiting list. Inside the restaurant is so loud, you can barely hear what anyone else is saying. We were sat pretty fast which was really nice. With the email subscription you can get a free chips and salsa, we did that and added fresh guacamole for a little more. I ordered their margarita of the month, which was at the time their fire cracker marg, think the colors of the American Flag as layered slushie alcohol. When it arrived at our table it was half melted and turning brown, typically what happens when you mix red, blue and white together. It was a bit unappetizing to look at and the server didn't even acknowledge the gross hue. My friend Chris wanted a moscow mule but substitute vodka for tequila, our server didn't know if the bar could make it. I might have been mistaken but I thought there was a full bar, when she came back she said that Chilis didn't have the ingredients needed for a mule. Interesting it's literally just ginger beer and bitters. Can't keep a frozen margarita frozen and don't have ginger beer, tisk tisk. Food came out at a fairly decent rate, our mains came out before the guac though. Paying with the little machine is a mess, the chips weren't taken off and the guac was still showing at full price, it was horrible. Probably won't be coming to this Chilis again. read more

What does it take to get Chili's Rancho Del Rey in Chula Vista to order and stock a decent single malt scotch?? I usually enjoy Glen Livet scotch and it was finally ordered and in stock 2 months ago, at my request. They ran out of Glen Livet scotch a short time later and for past 6 weeks, the managers told me it should be "back in stock soon"! Last excuse was it was not a regular stock item and "had to be approved by corporate"...... This is one of the few bars that seems to have trouble stocking better scotch..... guess it's more profitable to just sell "well drinks"! We have stopped our regular dining at Chili's for now and opting for other restaurants with better liquor selections! read more

When the one and only request you make is no onions and they fill the plate with onion it really make you feel like you are being heard. Staff is cool here just make sure you make yourself heard when you ask for something. Have them repeat it back to you. read more

Came to this location tonight, ordered for takeout and they forgot half our order. Ordered the smokehouse combo, I'm glad I checked the bag before I left. They forgot the brisket, garlic toast, garlic dill pickles and the bbq sauce. They came back out with the rest of the food, and I should have just asked for my money back. The brisket was 2 pieces of brisket, actually it was a slice of fat and the other piece looked like something that was chewed up (see pic). They still forgot the bbq sauce...so disappointing. I honestly enjoy bar and grills. The customer service here is excellent but I had a few concerns. I orderred a skinny margarita which i regretted as soon as it came out. It wasn't a drink. It finished it in a couple sips because it was so small and sweet. No alchohol so I ordered a beer. A stella 22 ounce. Love me belgium beer. I'm not one to complain about my order so I said nothing about my margarita but lesson learned. Applebees skinny margarita is big and gives me a head change so I think I expected the same from chillis since they are very similar. Anyways I orderred their chicken/shrimp fajitas and they were good. Not amazing but I guess they charge you an extra dollar for the shrimp when on the menu it didn't say that. They also tried to charge me a extra dollar for looking at a game on their table tablets. My son brought his ipad and dinosaurs and I was on my phone so I just looked. I made my waiter correct that. Came here for a meal this past Friday 4/6/18. Immediately upon entering we were greeted and seated which was very nice. I unfortunately did not get the gentleman's name that was helping us but he was super helpful while obviously very busy. We started out with some boneless buffalo wings, they were ok......nothing I'd rave about but delicious. I had the smokehouse burger and it was a bit of a mess when it came, super super oily, I mean this thing literally dropped as you took bites of it. Even with all the ingredients in the burger the meat was very bland and tasteless. The bartender at H St. Chula Vista was obviously high on cocaine and drunk af, she kept buying me tequila shots and begging me to be her personal trainer. It was kinda annoying since she wouldn't take no for an answer even though I specifically told her I don't train girls who's only fitness goals are to "grow a huge ass guys will drool over and that she can be proud to post on IG" smh! Im only giving 2 stars instead of 1 because the workers are nice :) I appreciate that. I was alerted my food was done. I got to curbside and noticed others were already waiting. I figured it was Father's Day so that's understandable. Then after awhile, it became clear my order was not coming. I walked in and saw many orders sitting on the rack. I asked someone if my order was ready and she said "yes it's on the rack." I grab my food that's been sitting there for God knows how long, and went home. Our steaks were cold, burgers looked thrown in there so I had to put them together myself, the cheese on the potatoes were already hardened and cold, my broccoli was raw, the sauces were warm, and all the food was just cold. This is my third time having problems with this location and I will not be returning. Sad because it's so close to my house but at this point I'd rather drive to Eastlake Chili's. My experience here was terrible due to my server Chalise. I asked for more napkins and she gave attitude like if it was such an inconvenience for us to ask her to do her job. We had dinner at chili's last Monday evening hoping that we won't wait too long since it's Monday but the wait was still 20 minutes. We got seated on the corner where the floor is wet and sticky probably from the soda and drinks spilled by the previous customers, but they didn't bother to clean it first before they seated other customer . I was a little disappointed because the spinach artichoke dip is no longer available so we ordered guacamole chips. Surprisingly the chips were really good and crunchy. The amount of guacamole and salsa is pretty generous. That appetizer is worth the price. I highly recommend this appetizer. Again, like always I was deceived again by the picture from the menu. The 3 item combo shrimp, steak and chicken fajita from the menu looks so huge and appealing, but not big enough for two people sharing. This Chili's is usually always busy but the last couple of times I've been here it has seemed extremely chaotic and understaffed. My fiancé and I came tonight with our daughter and the host said that it would take 30-45 minutes. Knowing that it's usually busy, I put my name down and was sent a link to the waitlist. As I watched the waitlist and my position in line, I started to notice an inconsistency with the seating (people not being seated in the order they arrived) but didn't think much of it. An hour passes, which was longer than projected, and the waitlist shows I'm next in line so we go back inside to stand by the host. The host then calls out another name with another party size. Either the host lost track of the waitlist or he was seating people out of order (both is probably likely) but we decided to leave and go somewhere else. All things considered, we probably won't be back here again. While I completely understand busy locations have longer wait times, I'd rather spend my time waiting at a restaurant that better manages their waitlist to be considerate to their customers. read more

So disappointed with dinner last night. We ordered through Door Dash, and the driver texted me to say that the restaurant was backed up and it would be an additional 20-25 minutes. Not a big deal, except that the food was cold when it arrived. What was really upsetting, was I had requested extra wing sauce and extra dressing for my Buffalo Chicken Salad. What I got was no wing sauce and no dressing. So I had dry chicken and dry lettuce for dinner. I've attached pictures of my receipts where the order is listed with my requests, and someone actually "checked off" the items as if they had actually included them in our order.
