I absolutely love Childtime! My three daughters attend here -- they're in the two's, preschool, and kindergarten programs -- and we've been part of the Childtime family for over two years now. One of the things I appreciate most is the consistency. As my girls have grown, they've had the wonderful opportunity to learn from some of the same teachers who taught their sisters. The staff is amazing, caring, and consistent , there's very little turnover, which says a lot about how much they enjoy working here. As a single working parent, I truly value the reliability Childtime provides. They're open year-round, including during many holidays, and they've been there for families when it matters most. I'll never forget last November (2024) when the local fires caused school closures, Childtime stayed open safely and responsibly, allowing me to go to work knowing my girls were cared for in a familiar environment. That meant the world to me. A very special shoutout to Director Miss Katherine and Assistant Director Miss Ale. They are both incredible leaders, always approachable, understanding, and quick to listen whenever I have a question or concern about my three kiddos. Our baby boy loves going to "school" at Childtime. The teachers are all so caring and developmental. The staff in the front is always so welcoming and helpful and know Reid by name/are always excited to see him. He just transitioned from the infant to toddler room and the teachers and staff worked with us to make his transition as smooth as possible. I feel confident leaving our little buddy with them everyday. He is always happy and exhausted from all is fun when we pick him up :) I definitely recommend Childtime! read more

For being such a large facility, I'm surprised Child Time doesn't have more reviews! Choosing child care was such a stressful time for me, so I hope this review helps parents researching. I LOVE Child Time in Oxnard. My son has been attending a little over a year and has been in the infant class (for a short period), toddler class and now two's classroom. Here's why I love it: It's secure- The front door has a code for entry, you have to sign your child in/out electronically and on paper daily and the classrooms are video monitored. Phone App- The facility uses an app called Brightwheel that sends me alerts throughout the day with his activities, pictures, foods he eats, naps and diaper changes. Being a full time working mommy, this eases me by still feeling involved in his day. The staff- Everyone at the facility is so friendly and they ALL know my son by name! We are greeted with a smile daily. The teachers are AMAZING. In every classroom that my son has been in he's formed a great bond with his teachers. When I drop him off in the morning he goes running to his teacher with open arms! Curriculum- My son has excelled since starting here! By 18 months he knew all his shapes, colors, could count in English and Spanish and knew his abc's!! His speech has exceeded his age level. My husband and I work with him a lot at home, but I credit Child Time a lot for how well he is doing. He's always doing fun activities and art projects. Convenience- While this facility is pricy, the tuition includes breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack. All his diapers and wipes are also included. Doesn't get much easier than that! Small cons- I've had a few instances that I was concerned with (my son was bit, which I wasn't happy about. But you have to also understand the age group and know this isn't abnormal for children) But anytime I wanted to talk to the director regarding a concern I had, she was receptive and open. Being an active toddler my son has gotten some bumps and bruising while being there, but the facility has always promptly called me to let me know what happened and all incidents are put in writing. Prior to starting here, my son was at a home daycare facility and we had a horrible experience. Enrolling him in Child Time has been the best decision we've ever made. this will be my second review My first was on google if anyone wants to take a look. My two year old currently goes here but hopeful not for too much longer. If anyone knows any good daycares in oxnard or Camarillo please leave a comment. My two year old was bit twice within a month by same child and this child has bit other children as well to my understanding and no action has been taken. Using the excuse that this child is non verbal but that does not excuse this behavior. my oldest child was non verbal at that age and never bit other children. i feel bad doing this but they have to be held accountable. They have great teachers and some staff but the rudeness of the assistant director Alejandra Arebalo is beyond unacceptable. she turned away my child from attending daycare which made me have to leave work to care for him for being less then 5 mins late. my child has not been late in over year and half and the one time she sends him away. Also once I addressed this issue to the head director now Alejandra ignores me every time I come in and greets ever other parent but me. Shes in the wrong field with her attitude. she's been consistently rude to my child's father but he never wanted me to make a big deal of it. She has made it so uncomfortable bring my child that I am now looking elsewhere. I even let my job know I can only do part time hours until I can get my child into another day care. Very let down at one point I really enjoyed and trusted this daycare. read more

Childtime is amazing. My son is a month away from turning 3 years old and he has been here, full-time, since 2 and 1/2 months old. We are always greeted with warm welcome by any staff member that sees us. The ladies are more than willing to work with us on any issues or concerns and they go at a pace that the parents prefer. When my child was going from formula to milk, bottle to cup, diapers to toilet - anything - they follow the parents. Different programs are offered like music class, summer activities etc. And I love that for the holidays they do something special like for upcoming Halloween there will be a parade for the kids and parents. Childtime is involved and really takes the time to know each child and their family. My son is getting a head start on his education because he was able to go into the preschool room a couple of months early. And it was Childtime that suggested he go in early because they know him so well and knew he was ready for more - and they were right! I feel confident in saying that these ladies are like family! I trust in them to care for my child in a number of ways on a full-time basis and have so for over two years. If that doesn't put aside the negative reviews, I don't know what would! read more

Dropped off a girl I babysit here and it's a nice facility. Passcoded and all for facility entry, child check in and child check out. The only complain I have so far is that the class is so crowded! I can see how it can turn into uncontrollable chaos so easily as mentioned in the previous reviews. Personally, I'd want more teacher attention if I had a child of my own. Childtime is absolutely AMAZING!!!! I have 3 children who attend Childtime on a daily basis and have been attending for 2+ years. When I called to set up and appointment to tour the facility they were so nice. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and immediately started our tour. Any and all questions that we had during the visit were answered. They also said if we thought of any additional questions we were welcome to call in and ask. It took my husband and I no time to realize that this was the place for our three children who were 3, 2 and 1 at the time of enrolling. We quickly built a relationship with each of the staff members just as they built a quick relationship with our children. I did not want to send my children to just any day care! I wanted a licensed and bonded center that would also be educational for my children. Well let me tell you I got that with Childtime. They take the time to work with you and your child with potty training which I couldn't be more happier about. I had the hardest time getting my youngest to go potty in the toilet and with the help of the amazing teachers I was finally able to get him potty trained in 1 week. If you are looking for an amazing day care I highly recommend that you tour Childtime. You will not be disappointed. read more

My children attended child time for quite sometime. like most places it had its pros and cons. However management was always an issue. They only got it right once when Leah was the manager of the facility. She was very assertive but professional and got things done. When it comes to being in charge of a facility where children and there best interest are involved she was a great fit. Especially as working parents we don't have time to deal with paper work or silly admin errors. Their current state is chaos under Erica their new manager. She seem and is completely lost. This place is under constant investigation for complaints of children not being properly supervised, understaffed, many incidents being undocumented and being swept under the rug. I've walked into the infant room and seen one staff member with several babies crying and no one to comfort them. They claim to have certain providers caring for specific age groups and mention they have experience in child development, yet you see different staff members in the rooms with the kids. I've witnessed staff members "supervising" children while being on their phones. Definitely wouldn't recommend! read more

At first i liked this school for my son who is enrolled in their prek/kinder prep. however after being here for over 6 months i find many flaws in the school that i can not ignore. First off, the teachers and other staff are inconsistent. its never the same person that i drop and pick up my son from school. Second, at first my son seemed to be learning but all he seemed to learn was how to spell his name but i havent seen any improvements at all in his writing the last few months. third, i realize that the teachers will only work with a handful of kids in writing. in the morning when i drop off my son, half the kids are writing in their journals and half the other kids are just playing or doing whatever they please. also, when theres an overflow of kids in one class they will transfer kids to another room that isnt as packed. There are not enough staff for the kids sometimes and i will see the kids fighting, physically, either theyre fighting over a toy or simply playing rough with one another, and the teachers dont even notice and pay attention unless the kids cry or they get too loud. during many occasions my son will come home with sand in his hair and he will tell me one of the kids threw sand at him on his head. but there was not told by any of the staff or teachers. however, one of the staff, lacey, i believe is her name pays more attention and will let you know and file report for any incident. on many occasions i have heard my sons teacher, ms. silvia, yell at the kids. i understand some kids dont listen and hard to take care of but i dont pay someone to yell at my childhowever, i have seen mrs. sue with the kids and she seems to be a great teacher deals with the kids in a firm manner but still respectable. i feel like i pay for my child to play all day instead of learning because he seriously always tells me he just played all day. i have reasons to believe the other classrooms are just as bad as the one my son is in. i will walk by the other rooms and i always see at least a child crying without anyone comforting them. i wouldnt recommend this school at all. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS CENTER!!!! I've had my child here for 1-1/2 years. the first four months was great until they had a new director (Tonya) and from there, the place sunk like a rock. teachers were leaving soon after they came on board. one time, for five months, my 4 year old child had only one journal entry. I've seen an aide pin a child with her hip against the cabinet because she didn't know how to deal with the child. it's always very chaotic there. the director overbooks the classroom, so the extra kids are forced to go to other classrooms not filled yet. I've seen multiple times, the pre-schoolers are put into the twaddler classroom during times when they should be learning and they start crying because they're not with their class. I've seen the twaddlers not being fed by as late as 12:30PM. the only reason i stayed for so long was because i kept giving the director the benefit of a doubt that things would get better. i finally complained to Connie, the area manager and she ended up reprimanding the teachers for talking to the parents. after that, teachers didn't tell you what's going on with your child. then I went and complained to Terry, the district manager and she told me she didn't have time to look into it. she would not identify her supervisor to me and licensing only cared about so much of it. I've had it at the end and bailed my kids out of there. COMPLETE WASTE OF YOUR MONEY AND A TO HAZARD YOUR CHILD'S WELL BEING!!! read more

I signed up my two year old twins for the summer camp that they offer. This was their first time attending any type of preschool. On the first day of school, one of my sons didn't want to get out of the car and wanted to go back to school. My sons seem to continue to enjoy attending and I will be signing them up for the school year part time. I really like how everyone is very warm and friendly and also how they take a genuine interest in my sons. The teachers are very open as well and friendly. I recommend this place and I hope that my sons will continue to enjoy going there. read more

My Son has been attending ChildTime for over 3 years. It is not perfect. However if you do not keep your children home and watch them yourself, you will never find the "perfect" child care you want. This facility has treated my child and my family with the up most care and respect i could ask for. Any issue or concern i had was addressed immediately and dealt with professionally. Any of their concerns were brought to my attention in a respectful manner. Worst preschool ever. Where should I start, The front office area is always a mess it seams like every time I walk in, there are teachers in the front gossiping, the directors office looks like she just moved in, I get in to the classroom and the teacher is ALWAYS on her phone, the children are running around like crazy, they never do curriculum. I pay extra money for their music enhancement program and my child tells me he never goes. I pay extra money for summer activities and my child has not done One thing this summer, where is my money going? My child no longer goes to this preschool, I dont recomend it read more

So my two kids attended ChildTime My daughter who is thirteen stopped going about a year and a half ago, my son is six and I will no longer send him due to the fact that he was left at school and not picked up on one of the assigned days that they were to pick him up from school. The director Leah has has been in position at this location a little over a year is not friendly, welcoming, and or professional. Wendy the office assistant never knows what she is doing and never has an answer to anything also is unprofessional and useless. I had been coming to this center for over a decade and since these two have been in place my son has been picked up late ( more than twenty minutes) several times and now not picked up at all there excuse was that I was a week late on a payment. By no means is that a reason to just leave an innocent child alone and scared at a school, there classes are always over crowded, during the summer when there is field trips the trips are always getting cancelled or they change schedules with no notice to parents, there is always out breaks of lice and we have experienced and seen many cases of bullying as well as my son getting bit, hit and or scratched with no write up and or incident reports given. Most of the teachers at this location are wonderful but to have to put up with the director Leah and her side kick Wendy is not worth having my kid there I have also contacted corporate with these issues and they don't seem to be concerned Horrible place so don't let there phony welcoming or tour fool you. read more
