We moved out of state 9 months…read moreago, and today was my son's wellcheck with his new pediatrician (less than 1 hour later) and of course I hadn't requested records... Sigh. My lack of planning does not constitute an emergency for anyone else, and I didn't expect them to drop everything to bail me out... however, I thought, let me just ask to see what they might be able to do... So, I called the office to ask for their help in sending me records, and despite my apalling lack of notice, they accommodated me and helped me by emailing me records! Say what?!?!?! Of course, I had to comply with written authorizations, which is absolutely the right way to go... Ms. Traci was my LIFESAVER today! Seriously, talk about taking good care of their patients! And technically, since we moved out of state, we are no longer patients... and they still went above and beyond! Truly, this place is full of caring, kind and amazing individuals. Dr. Meyers and Dr. Dam have been truly awesome throughout the years, very thorough, patient and detailed, and we miss them very very much. The front staff, Chris and Traci, have always helped us professionally and today, she rescued me. We highly recommend bringing your children here; they are beyond amazing.

Upon entry, I wasn't greated with anything but: "YOU NEED TO HAVE A MASK ON". Not a "Hello" or smile before barking their outdated policy at me. I had spoken with the office staff prior to scheduling to make sure my insurance was in network. After 2 weeks of no response, I called back and asked again. They said there shouldn't be any issues so I went ahead and was seen. A month later I received a bill for $1500 stating my insurance was out of network! I called the billing office and spoke to the office manager who flat out told me: "We just check to make sure the plan is active. We don't check if we are in-network or what your benefits are." The application they use to verify the policy will tell them if they are in-network and what my benefits are.... they just choose not to look at them! In the words of the office manager: "It's like 20 pages long and we just don't have the time or the staff to look over that". I'm sorry.... WHAT???? They have the information in front of them, but CHOOSE not to look at it and then surprise their patients with a bill?! What terrible patient care and business practice!! On top of that, they are billing me the FULL insurance price. When they would have only gotten paid a fraction of that from the insurance if they had been in-network. BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE AND PATIENT ADVOCATION.

He acknowledges my husband which is a big deal since most female drs do not when they are tending to our child. He had a style that makes you feel comfortable. The office makes it easy and I barely deal with them. I just pay my bill online and then when you have an appointment you call them and they tell you which room to go to. I cannot say enough about how much I recommend Dr. Lively and the other Drs.

My husband's coworker recommended this place and I called to set up a free prenatal visit to meet the newborn team and see if it would be a good fit. The moment I called to set up this appointment I knew we would be in good hands. The receptionist was so unbelievably sweet! Great first impression! We met with Mindy, the lactation consultant, and Janice Martin, MD. We left the visit knowing this would be the place! Fast forward and now our little girl is 2 months old and I am still singing praises for Pediatric Care Specialist. Mindy was such a vital support for my family during the tough few weeks of attempting to breast feed. She even gave me her home phone number over the Christmas holiday-- who does that? So thankful for her help! We ended up switching to see one of their nurse practitioners, Megan McGown, because she saw us during our first visit and we fell in love! She is so encouraging, gentle, and patient! She answers all our questions-- and we have a lot as new parents! Such a relief to find a place that we feel confident taking our little one to for the next 18 years!

All jokes aside, talk about nickel and diming folks, they charged my insurance company for a tobacco cessation, and nutritional appointment. My daughter was 5!!! People ask for a detailed / itemized copy of your invoices!!! Stay informed on what your practitioners are charging your insurance- how is this legal??? Makes me wonder how many times they've don't this; I only pulled 3 invoices.

I've never had such a horrible experience with doctors who didn't seem to care at all how they treated a young girl who was there for their help and especially after losing her grandfather just a few weeks prior to all of that. Definitely not made for the claustrophobic; I take the stairs even when hauling my little chubster in a car seat. Office: Nice, friendly and efficient. I've yet to wait well beyond my appointment time. Hours: Another plus, they have weekend hours although we haven't had to take them up on the offer yet. Quality: Top-notch. Great doctors across the board and a place you can trust. While we're fortunate to have only had to go here for check-ups and shots, it's been a five star experience so far and it was an easy decision to come here. All of the patients here and doctors and staff are exposed to COVID 19 patients in the common areas and parking garage. They said it was the business of the building manager and st Luke's if they have testing in the same building.

CMH has a great reputation across the KC region, and I had no idea they even had a location up north here on Barry Road. It's kind of a random spot; I was expecting a full-blown hospital but it's sort of positioned in the back of a quiet strip mall. Easy in and out at least. You can check in on a computer when you walk in, and there are people around in case there are any issues. In our case, a bone in her elbow had separated, but almost miraculously gone back in right at the start of the appointment. So basically, it's like when you take the car into the shop and it stops making the noise and is fixed. Luckily the doctor explained exactly how this takes place, what to look for, and we were happily on our way. Overall a nice experience here and appreciate having them in the area in case things go down.
