I have yearly blood work and sometimes extra throughout the year and this is my go to spot. The only reserve I have, which is a big one, is that the older ladies often can't find the veins and will hurt your arm. I know 2 people who said they stop an older lady working here and asked for someone else to do it. It's a nice, clean, fast, and friendly service location but be prepared to be stuck a few extra times if you need blood work.

I was unable to eat or drink waiting for her to decide which increased my nausea. From 8-2am my husband and I were waiting to be moved to a real room only to have to stay in the ER overnight in a room not meant for that. Respectfully; this is why people go with the midwives.

In fact, he just delivered my friends baby boy this past summer! I like UPP Family Medicine bc it is a one stop shop for me in terms of medical care. There are four dr's at this practice, and while they do general family medicine they also do ob/gyn care and Dr. Xiao is my gynecologist and she is FANTASTIC. She's got the best bed side manner, my visits with her never feel rushed and she takes time to answer my questions, and (look away boys) she is a fantastic gyno and her exams are FAST AS HELL. Everyone hates their yearly exam. Dr. Xiao is like a ninja. By the time you start thinking about how much the exam sucks, it is over! Dr Xiao is also the first physician I've ever had to call me just to see how I was feeling and ask if I had any questions about or problems with a new medication I'd recently started to take. If you know anyone who is looking for a new physician, I cannot more highly recommend UPP Family Medicine. This practice is not just 5 stars good, its good enough that I recommended it to my own family members and friends. Today I called to speak with someone about a ICD-10 code, as quest stated it would need changed in order to pay a $450 bill. Upon calling the office to speak to someone regarding the bill, Debra Nelson, the MA, answered the phone yelling "Yes." into the phone. She continued to have an absolutely horrendous attitude over the course of me trying to explain the situation. As I've spoken with multiple people both at the Matila Theiss office, Quest and Billing and Coding, and no one has called me back. I am truly astonished by the behavior, and lack of assistance. If anyone has a name and number for a formal complaint, I would greatly appreciate it. Again, Reshay has been wonderful as a provider. But I think this office needs to investigate their other staff and their etiquette on the phone and attitude towards patients.

For my annual gynecological examinations, I usually make appointments with the physician Dr. Natalie Brzoza. She and her medical assistants start the appointments on time. She performs thorough physical exams, and she speaks politely with me. She has promptly placed orders for PAP smears and mammograms, and she has never pressured me about my healthcare decisions. Please note that I have NOT used this office for contraception or pregnancies, so I cannot comment on those topics.

Dr Kalinowski, the…read moreradiologist who works at this site, saw something she did not like on my mammo and brought me in for a subsequent sonogram, which is where she spotted the abnormality. It did turn out to be agressively malignant, but it was smaller than a pea in size. Even after I knew exactly where it was, I could never feel the lump. I am 1 1/2 years past my therapy and I am on a maintenance chemo pill, but I feel confident that Magee Womancare Center North and Dr. Kalinowski have given me the rest of my life. If she had not spotted it, and I waited until I discovered it on my own, I probably would not be typing this now. Professional, compassionate and above all, highly competent.
