I am a prior employee of this establishment and I can tell you only but positive things I've seen and experienced at this place. I can personally say that I have worked in other summer camps before and from what I have seen in previous camps is that a typical day consist of the children playing games in-doors or just going to the park, but at Children's Bright Beginnings, it not like that at all. When the children leave for the day, they leave knowing more, and experiencing more!
At Children's Bright Beginnings, the children receive only the best summer experience! During my time there, every day there was always something new to learn, or experience or places to visit and see. For example, on "Mad Science Day," the children learn about science concepts and experience being a scientist by conducting experiments, learning to observe and ask questions. On "Engineering Day," they learn to think critically and solve problems like engineers. During "Arts & Crafts Day," the children embrace their artistic side by experiencing different medium of art like painting, drawing, or creating structures with air-dry clay. But that's not all, at Children's Bright Beginnings, the children go to weekly field trips twice a week such as, the Children's Museum, American Gymnastic, the Wild West Town, Fun Zone, Wheeling Aquatic Center, Fire Zone, Kiddie Kingdom, Evanston beach, and many more!
This family owned business has been around for over 25 years and it's no wonder it is so well attended because they provide only the best, fun and learning environment and not to mention nutritious home-cooked meals. I had the opportunity to meet the mother/daughter team, Mrs. Patty & Mrs. Gotter, and I can tell you that they are the most hard working duo I've ever met. They are truly dedicated to supporting children's physical, intellectual, social, emotional growth and development. In addition, the other staff at CBB, Ms. Angie & Ms. Maria, always conducted themselves professionally and with grace. They work diligently to make sure the children gain the requisite skills to move on to the next grade.
CBB is truly a great place to be! I can't count the number of times I've come early to work, only to see Mrs. Patty or Mrs. Gotter already present planning for the week, making calls and working with the children. Their exuberance and ability to relate to children were clearly demonstrated by the sincere affection the children showed them. They are committed to make sure no child is overlooked. Their deep respect for others are manifested on a daily basis as they consistently go out of their way to help and encourage the children and to brighten up the lives of those around them, including mine.
As I wrote this, it occurred to me, that, to someone who does not know this establishment, it may seem that I exaggerated my praise by simply making it sound over glorious. However, from my perspective this is not true. Simply working at CBB, working with the children and staff, and knowing the owners has been the most rewarding experience in my professional career. Mrs. Patty & Mrs. Gotter demonstrates a deep caring for children and an ability to easily communicate with them. They are genuinely driven to help children learn, grow, and master skills. They are aware of the complexities in the classroom and the diverse experiences children bring to school. They are determined to make children's educational experiences meaningful and significant!
Children's Bright Beginnings is the kind of place I wished I had the chance to go to growing up as a kid. CBB is the place to be!
